Avatar: The Last Airbender: How did you find out about Avatar?

Well first of all im going to sa HELLO! Joined today... nice to see so many Cartoon lovers like myself

Well how did i start watching Avatar?
It was an accident. I were at home, it was pouring rain outside so i didnt realy want to take the early buss to work. Yes im grown up, 23 years old living in Sweden, Stockholm. Anyways i choosed to take the later buss in hopes for it would stop raining abit.. i switched channel after channel on the tv to see it was nothing good on it and i accidently stopd at "Nickolodion" (i usually jump that one.. then i see this Avatar serie (dubbed to swedish, but changed it to english) As an huge fan of cartoons i decided to watch it.. and got amazed by its deep story and adventure (even if it was abit childish sometimes).. 20min later when ive finnished watching the first ep. (remember it being Seasn 2 i think if the giant underground library) and a few min of the second one. I tuened on my computer and downloaded the 2 seasons and watched them over 2 days. This was not long before Avatar Season 3 was about to air. So ive not followd Avatar for very long.. cant wait to see the conclusion in the last remaining episodes and perhaps a movie.

I was watching a new Fantastic Four show with my friend, and right after Avatar came on, and my friend said it's a good show so we watched it (it was The Great Divide episode).

Coincidently, the first episode popped on while I was watching tv. I didn't know anything about it nor was planning to see it. It just appeared and I watched. I gave it a 6 the first time not great, but ok.

wow, first pisode you saw was the great divide. thats sucks

I found out from my brother. I originally thought it was a stupid show and i didnt even want to go anywhere near a TV while it was airing. but the first episode came on and my brother was watching it. and in like a minuete i sat down and was hooked by the humor and animation

^^I saw it because of my brother too. At first I dissmissed his pleas for me to watch it because I was not a fan of Nickelodeon. I'm lucky that my brother was persistant.

The first episode I saw was The Great Divide (back when it was just airing). I didn't know what I was watching, and I enjoyed mocking the episode with some friends...

A year or so later, I kept hearing hype about this show called "Avatar", that it was the greatest thing on TV, that it transcends the Children's TV genre.

I realized that the episode I had seen was a part of this show, and, being an open-minded guy, decided to give it a chance.

So I marathoned every episode from "The Boy in The Iceburg" to "The Guru" (which had just come out) in about three days.

And here I am.

Kinda wishing I had been hooked a year or so later, so I wouldn't have spent so many months pining for new Avatar!

To be honest, I didn't really think Avatar would be a good show when I saw the commercial previews for it. "Bah, Nick's lame attempt at an Anime." Boy was I wrong.

I found avatar by commercials

I found this forum because of Ed Edd'n Eddy (long story)

I stayed in this forum because of the Bikini Bottom Thread (shorter story)

I was adducted by aliens who were the planet Avatar. The aliens took me back to there home planet which was completely based off the Avatar world. Then they took me to be re-educated. I sat there for hours on end watching Avatar season 1, 2, 3, and also the ciribe episodes. The aliens continueto this day hold me against my will watching hours on end of Avatar episodes.

I found avatar one day when I was watching Nicktoons Network and saw they were airing 'The Avatar State' episode.I was bored so I watched it.And it got me hooked to the show.

Here's what happened:
I saw the premire advertised on TV and thought "hey, that looks pretty cool" and made a mental note to tune in so I could watch it.
As what happens with most things I intend to watch on TV, I completely forgot about it. Maybe a month later, I came in on the middle of an episode and said to myself:
"Oh yeah. I meant to watch this."
There are still a couple of the earlier episodes I haven't seen.
