Of course it was. If I wanted to be insulting, I know to do more than gice some 3rd-grade "your mother" joke.

When Zuko saw Ozai during the eclipse he said that Ursa did punishable things to keep her son safe. I'm not sure because I saw this a while ago, but i think he also said that Ursa was banished.

Yea he did. I think that yes Ursa killed Azulon Iroh may have been involved but I doubt it, because after losing his son why would he want to lose his father. But if Ursa i did kill Azulon shouldn't she be punished more than just banishment, perhaps a stay at the Boiling Rock?

Sure, except the guy who is now in power and has the authority to send her there got that power and authority because of her.

That's the thing I'm confused about. She planned all this for her husband (technically, for Zuko) and, yet, she still gets punished...better than death, but punished. Unless she didn't have to discuss with Ozai and happend to do so anyway, Ozai finding out about it later- or Ozai banished her to make it seem like she wanted Azulon dead and forged the birthright in a will or something as his 'dying wish,' so that Ozai wouldn't be pointed at for assisting/allowing this murder (yes, I do believe other people inside the walls of the Palace knew about the true death, but were probably paid/bargained to keep their mouths shut and claim "The Fire Lord died of natural causes" (Dai Li reference much?).

The thing I'm curious about is actually what other citizens thought of this- why their *pulls name from a fanfiction* Fire Lady is missing? It pretty much goes along with my questions of 'how was Zuko lucky to be born,' unless that was just an exhaggeration on Ozai's part- I've always had thoughts of a sick/premature newborn prince that could explain such, but it's my imagination.

But why banish her if she got you the power? Surely if he died from "natural" causes there was no need for her banishment.

the reason she was banished is probably because ozai was afraid that she would tell others of how azulon actually died and then he would get dethroned

    That going along with it.
But then, wouldn't it be even more risky to let go of a woman who holds this crucial fact and spread it to others...then again, people would get suspicious of how she got it, realize she's (or used to be) Fire Nation, and either resent or just kill her for being Ozai's wife (assuming that would be the reaction to most people in a time of war).
    Sneeky...

no because if she was banished by the firelord then no one would trust her they'd think of her as a criminal. and also we've seen that the Fire Nation has good brainwashing system,.

    I wouldn't deny that, either.

Hopefully a clear explanation will be held. If not, it's like speculating 'Iroh's spirit world trip.'

probably an answer wont come from the cartoon and we'll figure out from bryke. just like iroh's trip to the spirit world it will be viewed as not being important

Even though it seems crucial to know. I really want to know.

if ursa killed him then wouldn't that be just cruel? then again She'll do anything to save zuko.

I don't think Azula killed him I mean she's a child x__x but then again, she's an evil child but still she was far too young.

Ozai Doubt it. I bet he doesn't want to be the blame to kill his own dad.
