OMG. CBS purchases CNET for $1.8 billion, including our home away from home, TV.com!

I wonder how this will effect our Avatar forum now that the Viacom-God owns our backsides?!? Oh dear Avatar Gods, I wonder if that means we can't post Avatar pics due to copyright issues? Egads. LOL

AHHHH. This is either really good or really bad. But since Viacom probably owns half the shows hosted here, I don't think they'll pay us too much attention. Hopefully. If they get one look at "The Unexpected Consequences" thread, we're done for.

Wow. I never realized how viable sites like TV.com could be. I guess the internet really is serious business....

Aw man I have a bad feeling about this. I hope Viacom doesn't interfere with the forum here.

Kind of unrelated... your post reminded me of this: ...It's Sifu Kisu, we had a "situation" involving his discovery of CAPSLOCK ATLA a couple months back.

Now hold on. We don't know if this bad (or good). Unless they start hounding on us for "copyright infringements" or send us a memo... It's all gewd... Hopefully.

Booter wins the internet. Always. I actually didn't find out that CAPSLOCK were the ones who started that Sifu Kisu business until a little bit after I joined it. Oh well.

But really, I hope this doesn't affect our daily TV.com lives. *is paranoid about Viacom trolls*

You know, if Valtiel were in this thread, he'd have something hilarious to say about what he'd do with the body.

    ...

Anyway I'm betting that the sudden cracking down on "ib4tl" might have something to do with this. I'm guessing that CNET wants these forums across all of tv.com to look as attractive, on topic, and civilized as possible to potential buyers (hence the Viacom purchase).

It's like when you tidy up for visiting relatives or someone important visiting a company. Boy.. Won't they be in for a surprise.
