No problem.... I hope that IGN will be a resource that we can get info from the Avatar Panel, in addition to those who actually attend the convention

I think the Book 2 Series Finale, really opens up some options to have a more devastating villain than the Firelord. I don't know if they ever really confirmed whether aang dies or not by the lightning, but if they haven't confirmed anything. I think they could make it so that aang technically dies (but since he wasn't fully in the avatar state, the cycle is not broken) so a new avatar is born in to the water tribe, while aang is still alive, so technically 2 avatars at once. Through some misfortune or another, the new avatar is set on a bad path. And they could either keep the same characters (ie aang, katara, sokka, suki, toph who have to fight off this new threat - albeit a lot older), or they show the new avatar (who isnt able to reach his full potential until aang is taken out, so he proceeds in) taking out aang in his sleep something, and a new another new avatar is born and the show could be about the new avatars adventure to master the elements and take out the dark avatar. Because, in my opinion the only person that would be more devastating than the Firelord as the villian would be the Avatar as the villain. imagine AS vs. AS.

I realize the plot is fairly weak and isn't really that great, but i would really love to see AS vs AS, i think that would be a really cool battle to watch that would probably top the Ozai vs Aang battle.

This is not official in any way whatsoever, but it does offer some hope. I got this link from one of the top Avatar fansites about the continuation of Avatar. Apparently, someone ran into Aaron Ehasz after the finale aired. For those who are unaware of who Aaron Ehasz is, he is an executive producer on the show along with Bryke. So this person asked Aaron some questions about the finale and Aaron said there is a definite possibility that Avatar may continue.

    Here is the link.

That...is BRILLIANT! He technically WAS dead. The new avatar could've been born while he was dead and then when Aang is revived there are two avatars in the world. I'd DEFINITELY watch that! Quick, somebody send this idea to Bryke!

They'd have to work around the fact that the new avatar is just a baby. Maybe make him/her older due to the fact that there are two avatars at the same time through magic or something (I don't know how, but I"m sure they can work it out) and have them be able to control the AS at will.

    Epic.

There is NO WAY there can be two avatars.... the avatar is the spirit of the world incarnate, so there can't be two

This posting did give me hope for a season four.....

On the other side of the world, to the west of the Fire Nation, to the east of the Earth Kingdom, lies the Great Sea. No one dares venture into the Great Sea: only the desperate—exiles from the world of humans and people with no other place to go. No one comes back from the Great Sea.

Legends say that before the time of men, fearsome creatures roamed the world: sea creatures the size of small islands, monsters the size of a city, and flying beasts that could blot out the Sun. But at the dawn at the age of men, these creatures retreated to the Spirit World or the Great Sea.

But a new age has arrived, and these creatures of legend and myth have started to reappear in the world of humans, destroying the works of man, ravaging the Fire Nation in the west and the Earth Kingdom of the east. The world is out of balance. One hundred years of war have scorched the land and sea. In the new peace, forests continue to be destroyed and the land scarred in order to rebuild the cities of men. Where are the guardians of the peace between men and nature? The Avatar has returned for the humans but what about nature? The great air bison and dragons have disappeared.

The Avatar has restored peace among the people of the four nations. Can he bring peace between the elementals of the spirit world and the humans?

^idk it sounds interesting but sort of weird at the same time. it would sort of ruin the idea of the avatar world in my mind, to have a great sea
