I know this will probably not happen... i'de be totally bummed if this was how Avatar ended, but has any one ever considered what if they fail and the FN wins the war and the world is taken over by the FN/FL and well yea...again this will most likely NOT EVER happen...just a thought of mine...and looking to see if anyone else has pondered about this also ...

Yeah, we have. Avatar does not work like most shows. The ending, whether Aang wins or loses, will be unexpected.

It wouldn't surprise me if Aang did fail with Ozai, but I really don't think the Fire Nation will win. If Aang did fail someone would step in and destroy Ozai for him.

It's pretty obvious the end result will be Aang winning, but like someone else said it could still be unexpected.

This is I don't think it would be more of a failure but more of a sacrifice. Like someone maybe Toph or Sokka were to die. Maybe Aang himself.

I think it's possible Azula might sacrifice herself. As a sort of redemption. But, again, I don't want to think about Azula dying.
