    Boo! No sacrifice!
But my dear khalid13 how can we have an unexpected finaly if no one dies. How about then Katara dies? So there won't be shipping fights any more

Yea there will. Whether Aang should be with Zuko, or Sokka should leave Suki and be with either Toph or Zuko. There will always be shipping wars.

Well people should give up their hopes 'cause this is a kid show no gay people are allowed to live happily ever after!
Lol, since when does fandom listen to logic? I mean, look at the Zutarians ...
You're right. Katara hates Zuko more than tv.com hates noobs. They are naive to think that they would ever get together.

Now, now. We don't need any shipping wars here.

I'm basically a Kataanger, but I know how the Zutarians feel.

I'm a Kataangian. I really hate all Zutara, but after a while I've come to realize that I should only hate canon Zutara and not fanon. So I only hate canon Zutara.

Same here. I like Zutara when it's not srs business. I can understand why people like it though, it's hot. They just want Katara and Zuko to have hot, hate-sex. But after watching BR, I realized that Maiko could totally be that too.

    "I don't hate you."
    "I kinda' do.."

    "Let's sex! Liek nao!"

Kataang is more of a sweet relationship. While Zutara is hot.

I doubt any of the Gaang will die. It'd make for too much of a downbeat ending that would overwhelm the whole finale. I think Aang has to live, if only to continue the Avatar cycle. Aang has to grow up and have kids to continue the Airbender line.

The only people I see dying are Ozai and Azula.

I think it could be something like this:

Azula is hurt badly. Zuko comes in and finishes her off (not killing, but damaging her so that she is no longer a threat). Ozai comes in and starts to attack Zuko. Aang sacrifices himself to save Zuko and kills Ozai as he dies. Zuko stands before Aang's Dead body and sees the spirit of the Avatar arise out of him and go away and into the water tribe. (Perhaps Katara could be the new avatar's mother?) The new avatar learns waterbending from Katara herself if Katara is not their mother. Then she sees him in the avatar state. Aang comes and uses the new avatar's body to talk to Katara. A mystical sequence of events will happen and the show will end with the new avatar in the avatar state. Behind him will be a portal to the spirit world. The solstice will be here. The two worlds will merge fully. All the past avatars will be seen to all. Aang stands in front alongside Roku. The new avatar stands before Aang. Aang tells him some things. Roku then blasts away a wall behind them and all the avatars are standing there in the sequence. The new avatar is there with Aang to his right, and Roku on his left. All the avatars enter the avatar state except the current one. Aang and Roku hold the new avatar's hands, and he/she also enters the avatar state. The series ends with everyone in the avatar state and the screen zooming out and all of them are in the shape of the Chinese symbol for peace.

This is just one idea. What are your ideas. So it will not be a total failure by what I see happening. Some great sacrifice will be made, but the sacrifice will be made up for in the end. Remember: To gain that which is worth gaining, it may be necessary to lose everything. So Aang might lose everything, but then he gains what is truly worth gaining: peace.

    Any comments?

That was an extremely explicit ending. Did you copy and paste that? And anyway, I don't think that they would the final fight that short. I mean, that would be the end battle 60 epsiodes in the making. It should last at least half an episode. I seriously doubt it would only consist of that.

But I like the idea of the world finallyreturning to peace. The avatars linking up, that would be cool.

Wow, reading all of that made my head hurt.

About Katara being the new Avatar's mother. Unless the spirit waits for Katara to get married, and have a kid, she'd have to be pregnant already. And being a "kids show" there's a like a .5% chance of Katara being pregnant. It'd be interesting, but I don't see Nick going for that.

    But otherwise, very specific theory.

They can't fail. Think about it, Aang's gone through all of that training, they've all been saying 'Beat Ozai or we all die' for 3 whole seasons, and then he fails? That kinda defeats the purpose of the entire series if he doesn't succeed. It's like we went through all of that for nothing.

I bet my life that Aang will win.

And to be honest, I REALLY want someone good to die because that would make the finale less one-sided and "yippee" gay.

Yeah Aang will win but I totally see some good guy dying if we follow the LOTR n SW parameters that means Iroh but I feel that Iroh kinna died already if only in a simbolic way while in prison. So he may life at the end, now if Ty Lee was to die that would be cool because that will represent how the most innocent soul in the whole world died just because of the path the war put in front of her feet. Don't get yer hopes to high Zutarians I said Ty Lee no Mai! Mai will live and will marry Zuko! The one I totally see dying (Either that or revealin she's the reincarnation of Rokku's earthbender teacher) Is Toph because of that line I insist why you let that line as if it wasn't important I think it was pretty important and sad.

My ideal ending? One in which it is possible for Aang to fail. I don't want him to, but I want to somehow not see his victory coming. It would be good if I could just forget for a while that this is a kids show and that the hero always wins.

The show should end with Aang discovering Avatar Roku is his grandfather. Thus Aang is his own grandfather. Kudos to the person who gets that reference

Aang can kill Ozai. But Iroh needs to be the one to beat the crap out of him. Obligatory **s-kicking is obligatory.

I don't think Ozai will be killed. He will be DEFEATED; maybe put in jail. Or he might end the same way Zhao did. Some 'supernatural force' ending Ozai or Ozai getting his death upon himself. Like him falling off a cliff.
