Well it was certainly an enjoyable episode, much more in tune with what??I would have expected from the series, but I do not even rank this in my top five - well maybe #5 - I have to think about it.

The hot-head thing I found reminded me of the saucer-eyed look Aang gave when he spotted the egg custard in The Great Divide (I??was so sure the Aang crew would meet up with those refugees from that epi again in BSS, but it doesn't look like it). For me it was less annoying than the fangirl comment in Appa's Lost Days or Iroh's bustin' a move in Bitter Work.

However, I do agree the comparison of LL to SOTN is an apples/oranges type thing.

Definately. When you compare it to the two parts separtely then it is way better. Although the seige of the north was great this has all the elements combined into it as well as Zuko finally got told off by iroh. Also jet is a way better character to sacrifice than princess yui. The way they got ambushed was better than the waterbenders fight gainst the fire benders, although not as good as zuko vs. katara or katara vs. paku. Also this episode alluded to the seige of the north so that right there makes it better. Finally toph is in it so that pulls it up to above the seige of the north.
I don't agree. Jet is someone who is not very nice, and is unpredictable. They don't really trust him, and he is brainwashed. All you have to say is, "Jet, the Earth King has invited you to Lake Laogai," and he will turn on you on the dime. Princess Yue was the moon! What's better than that? Anyway, she was a loved character, especially by Sokka. I couldn't believe it when she gave up her life. Jet died for no reason, it wasn't even a sacrifice. Yue died in mortal form so that she could save her intire tribe. She knew how off balance the world would be without the moon, so she gave up her life. That's true sacrifice.
Jet is very cool as a person in himself and he can also fight ridiculusly well. He is shifty and smart and has it out for the fire nation. Princess yuie was a sick baby who was only in three episodes and then fell in love with sokka for almost no reason since she barely knew him and then was a cheap way to save everyone. But that wa only one part anyway of the reason why i like LL better.
