All great sagas/series have to end eventually and there has to be a right time. One example was the metal gear solid series. Each game was epic and the ended it at the right time insyead of us swimming knee deep in spinoffs and more sequels. but enough about metal gear. A spin off would be plain bad. we dont need a sequel or spinoff pretty much all lose ends are tied up. An epilouge would be good if it showed them when they are 15 years older or something but other than that.....

The Metal Gear series is 21 years old. Avatar is, like, 3 and a half.

But I digress. The show ended very well but I think it'd die a pre-mature death if they didn't make a new series (if the movie doesn't kill it first).

hello welcome to the avatar the last airbender forums
please use the ask a question get a answer thread instead of making new useless ones. we do not know for sure but suposedly bryan and michael are planning a 3 season spinoff but they have not confirmed it. As for avatar it is over and all thats left is the 3 live-action movies which will not be any good. and anything that happens in the movie has no effect on the show since it all took place before sozins comet.

I disagree with everyone who says that it should end. This series was pure gold and ending it now would be way to soon! I trust they are smart enough to continue on with the Avatar universe and make it better in future years.

If Ursa were revealed, I would be content with there being no continuation of the series. And, for the record, this shouldnt be in AAQGAA thread because it's asking opinions.

This is a question without an answer. It's opinionated and thus shouldn't be in that thread (to my knowledge)

Anyway, I agree with Breaker. Spinoff but not a sequel. If they tried to make a sequel it would be anticlimactic or frustrating because Aang is already a fully capable Avatar now, and in order to have a plot the villain would either have to be insanely powerful, or Aang would have to lose some of his power somehow, both of which would be a let-down.

Well i just rewatched the finale, and it seemed that it was just missing something, just the whole kiss scene then the end really makes me emotional, because i really don't want it to end. I guess whatever they decide will be ok. But the Avatar series will never be the same.

Especially since they decided to add the ability to take away other people's bending. LOL.

I think I'm one of the few that wouldn't care if it was a spin-off or sequel. The Avatar universe is clearly open to new terrains, they just need to be willing to do so.

If they indeed do continue the series, I would freak. I think I would trust Bryke enough if they ever had a sequel or spin-off. It's obvious that they probably have more talent and imagination than a whole lot of other animators around the world. With what they can come up with, I have faith in them.

They must make a Book 4: Air. Aang could search for other Air Nomads. The Gaang could meet people who still have some irrational hatred against the Fire Nation royal family. Toph could help The Earth King to make a new Dai Li since she could feel whenever the applicants lie. Am I the only one wondering what the old Dai Li's been doing since Azula banished them? And I so expected to see Zuko's Mom.

Making a sequel is an absolute NO. What's left to tell? A spin off might work but it's hard to conceptualize any characters or stories that could be as compelling and significant within the context of the Avatar universe. The best thing the series can do is have an epilogue to give the fans some more closure.

its true that all good sagas must come to an end. but the avatar world has many ideas which can come from it. great sagas need to end because they run thin on plot

Yes, actually they're shouldn't. But I want it to.. Even though avatar would be better if it didn't air anymore, I'm gonna be greedy and say I want more.
