Should there be a sequel/spin off? No. Aang and Zuko's story is complete. Should there be something with new characters? Maybe. I don't know how Mike and Bryan could make a new series any better than the original. Would it be a good idea to have some continuation/closure on the post-war Avatar story? Most definitely yes. The series has an incredibly full basin of rich and deep background story and beautiful characters. It would be a shame if nothing else was done with them.

My 2 cents for the time being.

Ok, like probably most people on this forum, i want avatar to have a few more spin-offs. I rate it as one of the greatest fiction storylines there is, however, i believe the film idea is just plain WACK! Like all other films based on a cartoon, i think the film will fail (along with Dragonball), however, considering spin-offs for the future would be awesome.

thats the way i look at it, although it seems that people still want a post-war epilogue thing to wrap it up. i dont see that as necessary, maybe a miniseries but not an entire series

Spin off based on the avatar world would be great but I don't think there should be a sequel. I think the writers finished the adventures of gang very nicely and wouldn't do justice to it if they tried continuing it.

I understand the worry about a spin off or sequel. A bad sequel/prequel can hurt a great franchise's legacy. I mean just look at Star Wars. But, on the other hand spinoffs can save a mythos and elevate it to a new level by expanding it. I mean, just look at Star Wars. Er...wait...did I just...

Anyway, if the creators feel the same passion and feel the can craft a newer, perhaps better story. I'm ALL for it. I've said it over and over again, Avatar has gotta very deep universe. A universe on par with the likes of...uh...Star Wars I guess.

Man, Star Wars been on the brain alot. Can't imagine why, I'm not even really a fan of it.

Star Wars is the only noteworthy saga that can be compared to Avatar.

Wow, that's saying alot. I personally would put LOTR up there, as well as the new Batman movies and a few others. Actually, and this will sound harsh, I wouldn't say ATLA is in my top favorites; I love it, but I have just seen too many things that I love as much or more.

Oh, and no spinoffs or sequels, please. Although a prequel would be quite interesting.

What i would love is a quick epilogue to wrap up gAangs story and then a spinoff. The spin off should be of future Avatars.

A sequel where Aang is old and gets assainated, and someone tries to avenge him, maybe his son for the next avatar.

This is spin-off material, not sequel material. Sequels must start not too far from where the series' last season stopped.

What if we see the great-great grandsons of Aang and Zuko and one is the avatar and the other while not being the avatar still has the ability to control all 4 elements.I only bring this up because I always thought Zuko would gain more power over the elements, and after we learned his of lineage I was almost sure,but...oops.
