Does anyone else think that Ty Lee's overpowered?

I personally have nothing against the girl...in fact, she's one of my fave characters!
But I realized, she's way too overpowered for her chi-blocking and bending-blocking punches that paralyzes her opponents.
She took down a platoon of elite Earthbenders (A platoon consists of 40 soldiers for those who don't know military) for Appa's sake!
I understand she's one of Azula's allies but they really should give her few weaknesses, like none of her attacks involves kicks?

I think she's overpowered too. She's never made mistakes. At least Mai fights realistically.??

well, Sokka did hurt her hand with his head in "The Chase" but that was only once...

I don't think she's overpowered, shes just good
If she did not have her acrobatic ability, then yeah she would have a harder time to get close enough for the hit, but as a very talented gymnist she is incredibly hard to catch, and can move fluidly through obsticles. But she can jump really really high, and far.... that part I'm curious about.

I hate Ty Lee' character.
She can jump disgustingly high.
she acts very dumb. (what's with "you are not prettier than us")
she looks weird, her body is kind unbalanced.
she is way too powerfully for a sidekick, she DESTROYED 40 OF THE BEST EARTHBENDERS!!!
I hate her annoying voice.
I think she should die, Yue died last season, and now a bad girl should die. Let it be Ty Lee.

Why do we keep bringing up the subjects of overpowered chracters. I don't see any of the Avatar charcters as being overpowered. They have all lost fights and have their own weaknesses. I seem to recall all it took to beat Ty-Lee on two occasions was Appa.
Is it that hard to believe she's just skilled?

Ty lee is not overpowered but just has a good knowledge of kyosho jitsu. These things that she knows can actually be used in real life except the bending-blocking part.I know some kyosho and it can indeed be used to disable opponents.

Here's a nice alternative theory for all of you. The Ba Sing Se Earth Kingdom guys are ridiculously underpowered. Did you not see the last episode where the Dai Li just got owned? Do you think the earth kingdom "crack" forces is really that crack?

Yeah, unless she has spings in the soles of her shoes she way outjumps the Olympic gold medalists. Seriously, is this shoe turning into "crouching tiger, hidden dragon" junk?
No one can really jump like that ever. As far as the fighting, she is really skilled but even experts make mistakeks evkery wonce in ah whil.
Mai fights and never hits her target and Ty Lee always seems to compensate for Mai's suckiness. Make mai a little more effective and Ty Lee won't seem so over-powerful.

Skilled is one thing, overpowered is another. They need to make her make at least SOME mistakes!! Like hitting a tree or missing a jump or SOMETHING!!

The Stormtrooper effect only works when you're fighting generic foes. If you recall, Ty Lee defeated Sokka and Katara with little effort. I think it was really ridiculous, especially on Sokka. I mean, she did it with no effort.

Besides, acrobatic flips are not as fast as Ty Lee makes them out to be. Katara could have easily waterbended a whip and yanked her to the ground.

Kyosho is difficult to use in real life because people aren't standing still

Umm In the latest episode I seem to recall Toph beating up the Dai Li pretty well, is she overpowered? Aang goes Avatar and destroys and ENTIRE fire nation navy fleet. Is he overpowered? Azula shoots blue lightining and is all around kick @##, is she overpowered?

The characters are good, and Ty Lee happens to be one of those characters.

toph is blind....

aang is the avatar...dude..of course hes powerful

azula?..the only reason she looks really good, is cuz she keeps beating zuko(which we all no is weaker then azula)
