I did because she had everything and it was taken from her and left her with nothing but the feeling of insanity and i think a few people might know how that feels when u have everything and suddenly nothing. im not saying she was a sweet little girl who baked cookies but she shouldn't have had all her life taken from her. she was unstable. get her some help dont lock her away or have aang take her bending

She has had a rough childhood which explains her behaviour bla bla bla... We all know she was a terrible person.

I felt bad for her too especially when she was trapped and crying. It must be hard though losing everything and not being able to trust anyone

Same here. I really wanted to know what happened to her more than anything. I wish they just showed us what happened to her.

I felt bad...but at the same time she deserved it. I mean, she technically killed Aang, and would betray/hurt anyone to get power. And seeing her so cracked and broken in the end...for me it was satisfying to see her fall. But she was also so pitiful that it struck my heart just a little bit.

It's like when you see a giant snake getting caught in a net and twisting until it's strangled itself to death.

It's pitiful, but it's justice, and justice is neccesary for peace and freedom.

I think Azula got what she deserved.... with all the bad karma she built up, i wouldn't have been surprised if it had ended worst. And her melt down was bound to happen... no one can be perfect all the time, not even Azula. And even though she had a bad childhood.... that's no excuse to take real pity on her. Zuko had an even worst childhood, but he was able to make better decisions and see the wrongs he had caused. And personally, I thought it was kinda funny to see her go completely nutso... so yes, I think justice prevailed.

Getting caught in a net and dying because of it? I don't see that as justice. Better example: seeing a lion hunt it's prey after which he starts eating it while it's not completely dead yet. It seems cruel, but it's nature and therefor the natural order of things.

It was her own fault for not being able to trust anyone... if she had been a real friend to Ty Lee and Mai, none of the betrayels would have happened. she even admitted that her so called friendships are carved out of fear... not trust. so if she couldn't trust people in the first place, then why would they have a reason to trust her. and she was the one banishing everyone for no reason and these are the same people who had claimed loyalty to her. and to lose everything is not an excuse for Azula... Zuko had lost everything as well but he was able to create a better life for himself.

She's earned my pity, but seeing her losing power like that and being chained up in a mental mess was somewhat satisfying to me, a fitting end to her, but at the same time I felt like giving her a hug.(If she wasn't breathing fire like crazy)

No, because due to the fact that she was raised under so much intense pressure, she was never phycolgically speaking
"right in the head." so her break down was inevitable and I can't feel bad for her, because whatever personality she was suppose to have was supressed with some sort of acute paranoia disorder. Lol sounds like an episode of criminal minds to me. xD

I don't get ur analogy; the food-chain is justice? That sounds like an anarchist argument(that it's a dog-eat-dog world). My point was that what happened to her was her own fault- just like thrashing in a net will strangle you, living a life of violence, death and hatred will get you killed(or at least locked up) in the end.

It was actually NOT her fault because she never had the abaility to trust anyone because her brain misinterprits trust and fear, thusly the cause of her need for constant control. She's a product of her enviorment. Zuko on the other hand, after being banished had someone supportive and understanding (iroh) and was exposed to the outside world and being treated as a private citizen which gave him room for growth.

I shouldn't have taken your example/analogy literally and you shouldn't have done that to mine, I guess...

My point was that it's the natural order of things. She got what she deserved, just like the prey got what it deserved although it might have looked cruel.

Oh, okay. Shiftin gears for a sec, I think wut drove her nuts wuznt so much losing everything as much as it was guilt. I think when TyLee and Mai betrayed her, she suddenly started to wonder if she was on the right side, and then she felt slightly betrayed when her father wudn't take her on the scorch-mission-thing. She was so alone, and all she had was her guilt over her past, her mother, ect. Then when she was finally restrained by Katara, and her hate couldn't save her, the guilty, lonely emotions overtook her.

i found it very symbolic that she was incrontrol her entire life (good example is one of her first lines "do the tides comand this ship) and that in the end she lost her sanity from lack of control, i was almost in tears

it was a happy ending for her in the fact that she joined ti lee as a kyoshi warrior
