Short answer: yes
Long answer: I think what a lot of people are missing here is the fact that she's only 14. This leads to an interesting question: To what degree do we hold minors culpable for their actions? Especially when they've been under the influence of well... a domineering, megalomaniacal (sp?) father who rewarded their purported acts of cruelty with praise and respect. A lot of people will draw the comparison with Zuko (he turned out alright, didn't he) but he's two years older (important) and never would have changed his evil ways had it not been for Iroh. Then again, I do realize the alternate reality that ATLAB takes place in (kids aged 12-18 seem to wield tremendous amounts of power/freedom) In the end though, I have to kind of feel bad for her. Your environment really does shape you, and she's too young imo to doom her to the unfortunate fate of 'hopeless'. I mean, I wouldn't have minded if she'd died for dramatic reasons, but I'd like to think she's got a shot at redemption.
