We're getting off topic. This isn't the "Does Pouj-Rui suck?" thread, it's the "Can the Avatar be evil" thread. And the avatar is only what he is needed to be in order to save the world. For instance, if the avatar was brought into an overpopulated earth and saw the people were starving because the planet's resources couldn't carry them, he'd probably have to kill a lot of them in order to rescue the balance of nature. That sounds evil to me, but it's only doing what the cause of justice charges you with. If it's "overthrow the firelord", that's a good use. If it's "kill millions so that the millions left can live," that's an evil use. But the Avatar has done both good and evil in the past to keep humanity and the world safe, making it...(ta da!) NEUTRAL!

And we're on a FORUM. Forums have always been places for debates and, yes, ranting. God, Socrates was a blabbermouth to end all others. Honestly, don't tell me a forum is a bad place to rant. And yes, my underwear are wet. I sweat a lot.

srry, absolutely not agreed... the nature can safe itself because the more people get on the earth, the more will die out of their own cause there isnt enoufgh food... the people who die become part of the food-chain which will re-balance it again . ow btw, dont forget that humans are also part of nature, just like the avatar is. thats why he reincarnates everytime in the next element, because if he would stay at one element the nature would become unbalanced.

ow, and the neutral thing is right, but the way u explain it probably isnt... untill now we've only heard good things about the avatar, and no bad ones (at least, non-lied ones). if an avatar would have done something terrible, we would have heard it considering there are a lot of people who think that the avatar hasnt done his job by running away from saving the world. believe me, if there would be a terrible story about the avatar, we would have heard it already from these the-avatar-is-a-coward-people

one more thing, maybe u should read the other posts? i think we already got our answer over there hehe...

ow another thing, the avatar thinks like all other hmans which means he has a conscience... a good example for proving that is the episode ''Bato of the Water Tribe'' in which he keeps the map to Sokka's and Katara's father hidden. this is the best for the world, because he needs them for re-balancing the world... still he chooses to tell them the truth and risc slowing down his journey and maybe even risc being defeated by the FN (remember what Bomi said about him needing his friens to make it).
also dont forget that Aang doesnt think about re-balancing the world or anything like that. he thinks in GOOD and EVIL/BAD, just like all humans and certainly people of his age do.

Well, I dont think the avatar can be evil, because as it has been said before, since the first one isn't he wont turn evil.?? I think that if an avatar reincarnate comes even close to becoming evil, a past reincarnation will take over, go into the avatar state, and lecture the current avatar on not being evil.?? yep.

what about an emo avatar? haha, every time he tries to slit his wrists he goes avatar state, that would probably cause just as much damage XP
