Can the Avatar be evil? (Nothing to do with Dark Avatar)

    I have read this thread and the other one about pointless threads. I have but one question for you...
    Is your underwear wet? Because is sounds like you are irritated in some way shape or form. The only thing I can think of is that your underwear is wet and riding.

    Just an FYI...
    I am 29 years old. I have a full time job and I have intelligence. It may not be as much as someone older than me but it is enough to understand that ranting on a forum about the topics is absolutely pointless. If you do not like the topics then go to another forum. Heck, they have plenty of forums on many shows that I am sure that you like. So lighten up and just enjoy the conversations that you can have with the many people here. Life is too short to act that way!

    then avatar Roku will help him for sure. till now he always helped Aang when he's in really big problems and he dont know what to do. i dont think itll be different in that case. also dont forget that the brainwashing isnt that strong... just look at Jet, if he can fight the brainwashing, im sure the avatar (with the spiritual help 1000 other avatars) will be able to do the same.

    I agree, the avatar is the sum of his past existences and since none of them were evil he cannot be evil.??     That is well thought out. I guess that's where you get your name from. You are definitely right because we have witnessed Aang do questionable things like in the Great Divide. He lied to the villages. Also the Waterbending Scroll he did not oppose Katara's theft.

    ok, but lying and per accident getting trapped in an iceberg for 100 years isnt ''evil''... actually, we've never heard anything about ''evil'' decisions avatars would have made. for that we cannot tell if there ever will be an avatar who will do this. BUT, we CAN say that the previous avatar spirits are still in him and are able to ''read his thoughts''. if an avatar wants to cut himself lose from the previous avatars (lets say this is possible, which is doubtly), he has to consider it first and think about he will going to do that... if his previous avatars see that he's thinking seriously about it, there is no doubt they will do something to stop it. dont forget that all avatar spirits together are incredible powerfull and wise. they will not hesitate when they see that the avatar is riscing the world, or the next reincarnation of itself. its certain they will be able to overpower the avatar very easly, just think about what avatar Roku did when Aang was forced into the avatar state in (no, really?) ''The Avatar State''. he ''pulled Aang out of his body'' and took him to the spirit world to talk with him, and show him the previous avatars to illustrate his words.

    I will say that he will never be Evil like Ozai but he will still do morally wrong things with just cause to do them.?? Like stealing from the pirates.?? They needed the scroll in which it was stolen from a waterbender to begin with.

    he doesnt minded it very much though... he said that they could might as well learn from it cause they couldnt change the things that were already done.

    Not to mention that we need to face the truth.?? Even though Aang is 112 he still only has the experience of a 12 year old.?? Therefore he is still learning from his many mistakes.?? (i.e.?? It is not good to run from a problem (iceberg).?? Also love can guide people. (Cave). My all time favorite, "We are all connected." (Swamp))

    i'd says he can become evil he can be pursuaded, the feeling how it is too be evil and have more power you can imagen, killing your enemies or rivals that are after your gf/bf without feeling any guilt destroying things becuz you don't care

    something else, i think Aang has to force more respect from people (like in ''The Desert'', but then without the blowing-up-things if u know what i mean). hes after all the avatar right? he deserves more respect then any king would get in his entire life. ofcourse people think he left the world for 100 years on purpose, but that doesnt mean they shouldnt respect him.
