Aang: Hi sokka umm I think that umm (silent). Sokka: what is it aang? (pulls out long sord) Aang: katara you tell him. (hids behind katara) Katara: sokka umm we kissed and umm and thers nothing you can do about it. Sokka: I can tell dad. Katara: Dad won't care. Sokka: tells Hakoda what Katara said. Hakoda: KATARA!!!! Aang: where dead.

I think it has to do more with the fact we're used to being shown the story line, not reading the story line. It takes a brilliant author to be able to make the connection.

Katara returned the affection in The Headband and the end of the finale, as well as other episodes.

He had hair in the headband I think that contributed significantly and the finale is what we expected because they have to have the hero get his girl and what other episodes? the cave on she just seemed curious more then anything.

The hair is not what made Katara like Aang. Cave of Two Lovers was pure Kataang. Katara seemed honestly hurt that Aang wouldn't kiss her. That excuse for the finale doesn't cut it. The Fortune Teller, too. I felt a Kataang vibe in The Desert.
