Tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of the Siege of the North (can you tell I am obsessed??) . Do you guys like the Season Finale from Book 1: Water or Book 2: Earth??? Tonight's episode was fantastic, and I think it beats out Siege of the North by a hair.

I prefer seasons with closure, but with some questions, this only has me waiting more! So North Pole for me.

The only reason why I like the first finale better is because there is a solid ending.
Cliffhangers make me feeling empty inside.

I like cliffhangers but the entire is the avatar cycle still continuing or not question really confusing. That is why I prefer the first season finale. If they had ended this season with the gang escaping and azula having taken over the earth kingdom without the entire aang dying thing then I would have liked the second season finale better.??

I thought the "North" was a bit better. It had a major battle, always a plus for me and did give some closure with foreshadowing of the future.

Gosh! They're both so good! ...I'm gonna have to say season 2 because it delt a bit more with the characters personally. (And Toph was in it.)

I thought that this episode and The Siege of the North are basically the same for me. I mean that I like them both the same so I'm neutral on this I guess you could say. In SotN there was death (Yue) just like this one where its Aang thats dieing. There was a bit more action in this one but there was a siege going on in the first season finale. I like them both but this one is a little bit better

I disagree. Sige of the north was a fine episode.

This one bit the dust hard. it really sucked in fact.

I think that Seige of the North was so much better.?? The Crossroads of Destiny seem way to rushed when SotN had more development.?? I think Crossroads should have been??a two parter, and the Guru a seperate episode on its own.?? I just thought it seemed way to rushed.

I really wanted to like TCOD, more than SOTNP, but sadly??i have to agree with you.

Agreed. Siege of the North had absolutely EVERYTHING in it, with absolutely nothing wrong... it was just...well... perfect. This one was excellent, but I agree, I think it should have been a 3 parter like SotN. And, while I LOVED AND ADORDED TCoD, I DID NOT like the low humor and how dare they put the bad animators on the guru. Oh well, here's my score:

    SotN: 15/10

    The Guru and TCoD: 14.9/10

I loved this finale! The last one was good but this one had me gasping out loud and jumping up and down in my seat! Cliffhangers just kill me, but this just made me want more and more unlike the other finale. That was a great move by the creators!

It felt glued together, like the writers were trying to bite off more than they could chew. I mean, Sokka going to his dad had no immediate purpose, and as such they should have focused more on what was happening. There was no closure and I felt completely empty. TSoTN was WAY BETTER. A smaller cliffhanger just works more IMO.

I'd have to go with season 2. It may not have closure but while watching it, it gave me that exciting feeling that they need to hurry up and close this before the time runs out. Seeing the clock at 8:45 and zuko was JUST NOW kidnapped had me scared.

Fights were cool. Maybe just as good as Zuko vs Katara, better then Zuko vs Zhao and definitely better then Aang vs entire Fire Nation Navy.

They did finished off Toph and her Kidnapping.?? But to be honest I'd like to?? see Xin Fu and Master Yu again. They make a really good comic team IMO.
