QFT. That's a great scene.
Nickelodeon (ended 2008)

Yes, the combined epicness of Aang's revelation and Zuko's Agni Kai with Zhao easily put TSAT as the clear winner.
I also really liked the ending - the music as they fly away on Appa, with Aang and Momo staring back at their lost home is so emotional and sad, I have to admit that I cry every time I watch it.
Yeah, I know. I am kind of pathetic
The Winner is.... Return to Omashu ()
Next matchup....
The Warriors of Kyoshi
The Swamp
Sokka's Master

sokka's master because it shows how strong and determined sokka can be. Also it proves that sokka is our most favorite character... |
Sokkas Master got to love sword fighting
WoK Ok really only liked the battle scene
Swamp was pretty good. Emotional
Sokka's Master did alot for Sokka's character... It proved he's not just the guy who reads maps all the time... It earned him a good, talented place in the group, and showed that even though he isn't a bender, he is still a fighter.
The Swamp showed us a new type of Waterbending (And grass/plants/trees/wood, really fits the Water element too (both scientifically and Avatar-ishly), and it is always good to see a new sub-branch of an element.
The Warriors of Kyoshi was good, but it was quite a bore compared to the other too.
Sokka's Master wins for me!
The Warriors of Kyoshi had some good development in the Aang and Katara friendship, but the episode was still a tad boring. It did contain the first real Aang/Zuko battle, even though it was pretty short. WoK is probably my least favorite out of these three.
The Swamp, I believe, was underrated in the fanbase. It was a great character development episode for all the characters. It also had an awesome fight scene with the "swamp monster". Plus, who could forget the Appa/Momo storyline! Still, this is my second favorite.
Think back to the beginning of Book 3. If you remember the first five episodes, you can probably remember the since of dread in the forums. The first few episodes of Book 3 were not bad, but they didn't live up to the quality that we expected from Bryke(Fire Nation schools, dance parties, teen drama?). Then came Sokka's Master. In my opinion, Sokka's Master was the best episode of the first half of Book 3(Not including The Invasion). The fight between Sokka and Master Piandao was great, and Sokka really matured throughout the episode. Although his coming of age transition wouldn't be finished until The Day of Black Sun, you could still see the man that Sokka was becoming.
Episode 304, Sokka's Master, is my favorite in Round 1.4.
For once it is tough.
Swamp has the Appa/Momo relationship, the liongator and (we didn't know it yet) the inttrduction of Toph.
Sokka's Master has the epic duel between Piando and Sokka, Sokka making the Black Space Sword, and the gang floundering without him.
On the other hand Warriors of Kyoshi had girls. Oh wait I didn't mean that. I mean Earth Nation girls who kick ass, Zuko introducing fire breakdancing in combat, and Sokka getting humbled, and kissed by Suki, and the irony of Aang at the end getting to ride the really big fish he was going for, but for serious reasons.
I choose Warriors.
I have to say Sokka's Master, I was truly thankful that Sokka finally got an episode devoted to him - he deserves it. That episode for me came in as one of the best episodes in the first half of Season 3, possibly one of the best in the Season. Also noteworthy is that episode we were introduced to Buff Iroh
That's not to say the other ones weren't good too. The Swamp wins a definate thumbs up from me for the life message near the end - I view it as one of the episodes in Avatar that really sets out to impart some deeper message. The Warriors of Kyoshi was great to (and included two of the best soundtracks in the series - Agni Kai and the Avatar State).
But Sokka's Master comes out on top.

Your right. Its also good that Sokka can finally do something with the skills that he has. Its also pretty funny how everyone has nothing to do all day because Sokka has the Invasion Plan schedule.
