My all time favorites are the swamp battle, King of Omashu, Blind Bandit, and the North Pole battle, some of the best examples of Bending. The best fight overall is the Drill though.

I can't belive anyone has mentioned:

Aang vs. Jet: The most three-dimentional fight in the series; Aang and Jet battle from branch to branch, leaping through tree tops and clashing in midair.

Most One-Sided Fight: Aang vs. the Entire Fire Nation Navy in TSotN; Aang, merged with the Ocean Spirit, anilates the entire massive fleet of the Fire Nation, completly wiping out anyone foolish enough to challenge him.

Ohh that is one of my favorites

    bump

I think I've found the new champion...the opening fight against the guards(probably Terra Team rejects) was off the HOOK...Katara shocked me with that lil pose she struck after leaping over the moat and smackin down the guards...very nice I gotta say...but the best part for me was Aang's "that all you got?" Gaara type moment when he busts that rock??without ever (facially) acknowledging it's was even there??

I think that opening fight is the exact reason why they had to have Toph captured - it was awesome!??I think a few other people have mentioned it randomly on other threads... but Aang and Toph together is quite a powerful combination.?? Toph herself is POWERFUL.... many have mentioned Bumi, but even Bumi acknowledged he was not a master of Neutral Jin in Return to Omashu and that Aang's teacher would be.?? So that means Toph is a master of Neutral Jin and as far as I'm concerned, then some.?? She didn't even break a sweat while still maintaining that she still didn't think they should be there.

Think of the scene in The Chase where Toph just simply took Azula's feet from out of under her.?? If she can simply destroy somebody's stance, their bending would be ineffective.?? Think of the Agni Kai between Zhao and Zuko in "The Southern Air Temple".?? Iroh said to Zuko to not let Zhao take him out of balance.?? Now with Toph out of the picture (for awhile anyway hopefully)... things can proceed without it being unrealistic that they are not being stopped.

Exactly. Until Toph is set free, Aang will be fighting a losing battle.

Toph storming the castle with the gang, "the Earth King".

Aang opened up the way through the castle guards, but Toph just PLOWED right through them. I remember my martial art practice routines from way back when, and watching Toph just working through the attacks of the earth king soldiers just kicked butt! And she is concentrating hard not to hurt people too badly. I liked it all that much more becuase you could sense her and the g-Aang holding back, but still doing a LOT of damage.

I LOVE tough, I mean Toph!

What? She was holding back the least out of everyone! She caught dozens of soldiers in that domino rally of 500 pound stone slabs. I'm sure they aren't walking away from that.

And then she went and slammed men into the ceiling with the force of a car wreck...

I still don't think that was something that would do much more than pin them there. I think they'd be dizzy as heck and bruised to no end, but I don't think she would break any ribs. Toph is precise enough to Earthbend Sokka out of a break in the earth without scratching him. She knows how to control her art.

Yes. The fight getting into the palace in "The Earth King" definitely is the best fight in the whole series so far. But I bet that the one during the season finale will be even better.

Master, she could have crushed and maimed them in between the dominos, instead she just pinned them. The girl could have brought the whole palace down if she really wanted to.

With the pinning on the ceiling, she can stop that and regulate how tight she traps them. With the dominoes she just pins them under slabs of stone. Unless she's still outside holding the rocks up, I'm pretty sure someone has a broken leg and maybe a crushed hip.
