Eeerm, I dunno how to say this, but Aang has single-handedly destroyed whole squadrons of Fire Nation troops, he's taken down tanks and buildings, he's swept hundreds of people off their feet with a little flick of the wrist...?? uhhh, I don't mean to be rude, but Aang is so darned powerful, ya sorta have to be stupid to not recognize it.?? He could blow a field of grass over any little time he wanted to!

he hasn't ever "swept hundreds of people off their feet with a little flick of the wrist"

i don't remember seeing him take down tanks and buildings

yes, he is powerful, but you are overrating his power

and you make it sound like what that girl avatar did was easy...

I think Bumi should be at level 1 instead??of Aang (for now anyway). He's the only one I've seen in the show who can bend with??just his head!

when the firenation attacked that air temple with refugees in it Aang destroyed the tanks with grapple hooks and beat all of those people.

I would put Aang down in level two. He's good, but he's not fully trained in the other elements yet. Also re-watch Avatar Roku, he is a grade A bad-a$$, he pwns all! He melted chains without hurting the people they were around!

Given time Ang will be in level 1, but not yet.

first of all, he didn't beat all those people

and i remembered aang hit the tanks with his airbending and then the tanks flip over unharmed. hm i need to rewatch that episode

kilala- i thought the glow that they had was to show that it combines into aang. i don't think it was the avatar state, though i could be wrong. but it doesn't matter. someone before aang had to have been able to do that. it's not like the power of the avatars add up over time. the more skilled just replace the less skilled in the avatar state. the only thing that adds up is the knowledge

the glow does represent that the avatar is at his/her strongest via the avatar state.

i know that but i meant the glow that the avatars had in that scene. cause roku said "the glow represents the power of all the avatars focusing their power in you" (something like that) and then they had glowing eyes so i just thought that the glowing eyes represented the power that aang gets when he goes into the avatar state

but now that i think about it, the 3rd to last avatar had glowing eyes in "avatar day" so i guess they WERE in the avatar state

but my other point still stands

A fully realized Avatar is in a level all its own...and so is Avatar State Aang...in fact Avatar State Aang is the most powerful bender period since he has the combined powers of ALL the past Avatars...Azula is on the same level as Toph to me...and Katara is just a nudge above Zuko(she did beat him twice, but he's gotten better it remains to be seen exactly how much better)

    Okay, okay:

Aang is on Level 1 as an AIRBENDER.?? WE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE OTHER AIRBENDER SO SHE DOESN'T COUNT.

Yes, I should have put Pakku on there.

I know Aang isn't the most powerful Waterbender.?? Aang's level is based on himself both normal for Airbending and in the Avatar state for Waterbending.

Okay, phew, that should stop all your bickering

Easy there, I only mentioned it twice and that last one was more of a friendly jab or whatever. I??put it there mostly just??for??that second sentence. But you'know, thanks for clearing??that other stuff up. Hope it didn't take too much out of ya. ??

i don't think aang's avatar state should count as part of his power

and why is azula on lvl 3 when she could have killed aang in "the drill" but decided to grab him and wait till he wakes up to kill him. oh i just remembered that you put her there cause of her not-so-wise wisdom.
well she should at least be on level 2

oh and i'm sure roku and the 3rd to last avatar was better at airbending before they died than aang is right now

Oh btw, Aang said his teacher Monk Gyatso was the strongest airbender He knew.

this was proven so in the way that when they got back to the temple his corpse was surrounded by the many many firenation corpse that he took down with him.

Actually, we know very little about how Aang rated among the Airbenders.?? True, among the student Airbenders Aang was a prodigy, but if you recall from the Storm, he hadn't completed his training before he ran off.?? For all we know, fully realized Airbenders can do far more than Aang has done so far (Airbend a whirlwind big enough to destroy the Northern Fleet, for instance).?? This is unlikely, but fully possible.????

In all probability, Aang is probably the Airbending equivalent of King Bumi, Master Paku, or Iroh.??

Azula and Toph would probably be on a similar level below these guys, and Katara and Zuko would be on a level below Azula and Toph.
    ----------------------------
Also, for all of those who say that Zuko is worse than Katara, consider all the advantages Katara had going for her when she came to fight Zuko.?? It would be like Zuko fighting Katara at midday shortly after Katara has finished that trek in "The Desert". No chance.
