In the episode return to omashu Azula recruited two old friends who apparently will be helping her hunt Aang .??one of them throws ninja stars and the other uses pressure points wi=hich proved useful in subduing Katara's powers.??Aang??Katara and Sokka managed to get away the first time but how long will their victory last?
So do you believe Azula's new friends are a threat?

hmmmm...good question. I'm not sure......they did look skilled, they will acompany Azula, so maybe, maybe not.......

Ty-Li is certainly a threat (I'm biased towards her btw)
the other girl is very skilled with sharp objects, so yeah she is a threat.
I can't wait to see how they work as a team.

Probably not Mai, but Ty-Li is a huge threat since she can subdue other people's bending powers.

I think both will be a threat. Ty Lee can hit pressure points so people can't bend and then?? Mai can rip them apart we are definetly going to see some good fights this season

Indivudually, dont think they pose a major threat, but all three together and i think Aang has got a challenge.

I believe they pose a threat. They already proved that in RTO. Its kinda cool that now there is a trio to face off against Aang, Katara, and Sokka.

Well they certainly have their own unique skills that if they combine could become a serious threat but one on one I don't see them being anything beyond being another fire nation warrior because it doesn't seem that they can bend fire.??

i beleive there both a threat becous for the most part we dont know eather of their powers becous they havnt done any bending take azulu for exaple has some sort of lightning atack

Aang and the gang are already pretty seasoned on stopping their bad guys--
The Princess gang are tough, but also....they don't have the team bond that Aang and the gang have....
Something tells me Mai will split once she sees just WHAT Azula wants to do to Zuko, and Ty Lee seems like a good girl deep down, but?? likes everybody, that's why she lets Azula bully her...she may split because she may like Aang, Katara and Sokka better....I don't know...she DID like Uncle Iroh and doesn't seem like she'd want to hurt Zuko and Iroh either.......Azula said to "track and get them" but we all know she wants to kill them......I don't think Mai and Ty Lee know THAT side of her....so.....no:
Aang, Katara, and Sokka can take 'em.

No trust, no real bond, no chance at winning. Lying and bullying can't get you victories.

One scares me and the other I want to strangle... Figure out which ones. But that's NOTHING compared to the shock I felt when "AZULA HAS FRIENDS?" surprise.

I think they stand a pretty good chance of being a threat.?? That episode seemed to make a big deal of the 3 on 3 combat.?? Though with Toph in the mix now, all bets are off.

Ty Lee's cheery disposition is the wild card.?? She only joined Azula through the latter's manipulation.?? Mai seems to have the arrogant superiority common to the serious fire enemies.?? Ty Lee seems out of place in this group, a potential convert perhaps?

Yeah Ty Lee just seemed like she doesn't belong with these other two girls.?? Mai is just plain freaky, she's scarier than Azula.?? They both seem to have a hatred for their brothers as well Mai didn't even blink when her brother disappeared and was completly okay with Azula's idea not to trade him for Bumi

I think Ty Lee will jump ship....She may be better on Aang's side...Then Sokka wouldn't be the only non-bender. Uh oh-that makes me think of SokkaXTy Lee possablities....

Also...I know everyone says they see the Mai crush on Zuko...

But I took it as BOTH girls have a crush on Zuko.
Ty Lee also had a little grin and said it with a "I like him too" note in her voice.
Girls tend to be friends of another girl JUST for the cute older brother....Hmmm....

I don't really think Ty Lee is going to jump ship.?? It seems pretty clear to me that, for whatever reason, she really does like Azula -- she was happy enough to see her at first, even though she also knew her well enough to be scared when Azula stayed for the performance.

Plus, the good guys don't really need more help right now.?? Between Aang, Katara, and Toph, they pack a ridiculous punch.

Mai and Ty Lee are still a potential threat, though -- and if they actually get close enough to do the pressure-point thing again (and assuming it even works on the Avatar), it'll give Sokka a reason to exist, since he's probably the only protagonist who can actually fight without bending.

Don't forget Sokka he may not have all the bending skills but he does push them over the top once in awhile.?? Think about when the pirates captured him and Aang he said just the right thing and also his idea at the Fire temple.?? It may have not worked as he planned but it did get??Aang inside the door.?? There has to be a dozen other incidents where he's helped in very significant ways that are hardly ever acknowledged or noticed because it doesn't involve bending.

I agree there....Sokka's rationale and smarts are above the others....Don't get me wrong, Aang and Katara are smart...but Sokka's sarcasm, linear thinking and lack of bending is what makes him more of a survivor. That, and he doesn't have Katara's temper or Aang's innocence. I have to be careful here...since all the 12-14 year olds will jump all over me for having different opinions. >_>
BUT....Bending seems to limit the bender in a way.
They have these gifts, but they are also dependent on those gifts. If they're taken away (by Ty Lee for example) they're worse off than someone that has NO warrior/surivor background.
