I'm pretty sure the first time i accually cried was in seige of the north part 2...yue's death. My sister used to watch the show with me..but because i got so emotional...she stopped watching and now doesn't want anything to do with the show. She calles me a total freak for even metioning avatar. I don't regret crying there though, it was soo sad
I got teary eyed in episodes like The Swamp and Tales of Ba Sing Se, but i didn't cry.
I cried a little bit in Lake Laogai..jet's death. I came really really close to crying in the Southern Raiders, but my best friend was there so i didn't, she likes avatar though so i guess it wouldn't have mattered. In the finale, i cried alot during the Zuko/Iroh scene. And when Zuko was hit my Azula's lightning...i was on the floor both screaming and crying...

Yes, that one's also definitely high on the list.

I never actually "cried" whilst watching the show, but the saddest I felt was the last scene of "The Southern Air Temple." It was poignant watching Aang, Momo and Appa flying away from there home...knowing they are all that is left of the Air Nomads.

It made me fall in love with her even more than I already was

I've never cried per se (except for in the finale:cry, but on all of the episodes I mentioned I definitely came down with sniffles and wet eyes.

Never cried, but after the finale, while the credits were rolling, I did get a bit teary. It was just such an overwhelming finish. I was in awe.

The music also touched me. The Last Agni Kai and other songs really did add a dimension that would have otherwise been missing.

You make a great point - the music can be just heart-breaking at times. I think the saddest piece would have to be the music that was playing at the end of "The Southern Air Temple.

That was great. I must admit, though, the Peace Excerpt music was phenomenal. It's one of my favourite songs.

When I contemplated this for a bit, I realized there was one instance when I was near tears. It was when the opening sequence (water, earth, fire, air...) came on the screen for the two-hour finale. When that happened, it all of a sudden hit me: this is it. This is the conclusion to all of those episodes you have watched over three years. It was a poignant moment.

The "Previously on Avatar" was probably one of THE MOST EPIC THINGS I have ever seen in my life. That was actually one of my favourite moments in the finale. It was just SO GOOD.

But the finale one was SO EPIC. They upped the music and it contained the highlights of the series. I think I might rewatch it just for the heck of it.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. The music and the scenes kept progressing and building up anticipation until BAM! finale title.

It was so amazing. That just told me that everything I had ever thought about the finale was wrong, wrong, wrong. It was SO much better than anticipated.

I agree about the music but the emotion also has to be there in the voice actors and the characters. Of course, all of that came together inducing many tear jerking moments for me. Music though contributes the most.
