Maximus: Non-bender, hand-to-hand specialist, and sharpshooter.

Esther: Waterbender and Maximus' personal medic.

The boat drifted slowly across the surface of the calm sea waters as they slept quietly through the night. Maximus quickly opened his eyes as he felt ripples in the sea water grow stronger and the boat started to rock a bit more. He sat up and rubbed his eyes as he looked out into the open sea. A light broke through the darkness and the sihlouette of a moderately sized boat appeared. As the boat got closer, Maximus was able to see the shadows of two men peering over the bow of their boat.

"Anyone out there?!?!?"

Maximus kept quiet for a second until they got close enough to scratch the side of his boat. They peered down and saw Maximus sitting with his arm covering his eyes from the blinding search light. They looked at Esther and then looked at each other and then looked back at Maximus.

"What's your name sir?"

"Maximus...Feng...."

"Feng huh? Well....need a ride? We have plenty of room for you and your...?"

"Sister."

"Yes...well...come on. There's enough room for us all because our fishing trip wasn't much of a success. I'll throw down a ladder and you can climb on."

"What about my boat?"

"You can bring it aboard to."

Maximus nodded and gently handed Esther to the two men. One of them dropped two ropes and Maximus tied them to both ends of the boat. Maximus stood on the boat as it was slowly being pulled up by a machine that one of the men were operating. As soon as he got on, Maximus looked around the boat and ended up in the lower deck where the rooms were located. He searched each room thoroughly and then came into the room where Esther was sleeping. He slowly backed out of the room and ran into one of the men.

"Woah there!"

"Sorry."

"No problem. Where were you planning to go on that boat stranger?"

"An island just off the coast of the Fire Nation main land."

"What's its name?"

"Kāi T??u Island."

"The Island of Beginnings?"

"Yes...I plan to start anew over there."

"Well, we are planning to head to the main land, but we'll make a quick stop to drop you guys off."

"Thank you, sir."

"No problem at all. Just ask if you need anything."

"Actually....I was wondering if I could...it sounds rude, but may you spare a few coins, so I can get something for her to eat?"

"Not at all!"

He reached into his pocket and pulled out five gold coins. Maximus held out his hands and the man dropped them into his hands. He bowed and then stuffed the coins into his pants pocket. The man smiled and then walked back up the stairs to check up on the boat driver. Maximus looked back into the room and then walked back up the stairs. He looked out into the open sea and saw land to the east.

"That's Kāi T??u Island! It'll take about ten more minutes to get there, so get comfortable for a bit."

Maximus nodded and then sat on the ground next to a barrel. A smell coming fromthe barrel wafed out of a hole and caught his attention. He looked towards the two men to see what they were doing. They were looking towards a map on the wall and Maximus knew that this was the perfect time to see what was in the barrel. He carefully slid the lid of the barrel off and placed it right next to him. He looked inside and saw herbs sitting inside of the barrel. He quickly inspected them and then closed the barrel with the lid. When he looked up, the two men were standing right in front of him, with their arms crossed, glaring.

"What do you think you're doing looking inside of those barrels? Can'tyou read the sign?"

"What do you plan to do with those poisonous herbs?"

"None of your business pal. Now I suggest you follow my orders and get off of my boat."

Maximus shook his head and then both of the men pulled out a knife and started to switch it from hand to hand. One charged in and tried to shank him, but Maximus ducked and then upper cut the man's elbow to make him release his knife. As the knife was still in the air, Maximus made a huge leap, spinned, and then kicked the knife's handle with his heel. The knife cut through the air and stabbed the other man in the throat. As soon as he landed, Maximus dropped lower than before and did a sweep kick. The man was falling to the ground, but before he fell, he tried to balance himself by grabbing onto the barrel and the herbs inside fell out. One of its leaves landed on the man's tongue and it started to bubble.

The man screamed as his tongue was slowly being burned by the acidic juice that the plant was excreting and fell into the water as he hit the edge of the boat. Maximus looked down at the corpse that was left and decided to drop it into the water to. As soon as he did, Esther had woken up from the screams of the man and came up to the main deck. She rubbed her eyes and then looked around to see what had made all of that noise, but both men were now in their watery graves.

"What was that?"

"Nothing...I got us a new boat by the way."

"Oh....Hey! I see an island!"

"It's Kāi T??u Island. It is also known as the Island of Beginnings. We're going to meet someone there and she's going to help us."

"She?"

"Yes...Her name is Stella. She's like my childhood friend."

"You mean your girlfriend?"

"No..No...?"

"We'll be there in five minutes, so get ready to get off."

She nodded and slowly made her back back down below deck. Maximus stared into the horizon towards the island and closed his eyes as he took a deep breath.

"Feels good to be home..."

Norrin Falk

"Yes you can help us, by giving us all your money!" Said one of the three men as two more jumped out of the bushes.
Chi-lan made a sweeping motion as the ground rolled from out of one of the mans feet, he fell hard to the ground. The others charged in with knives and clubs but were no match for Yuki's sand wave. The only two men standing turned to one another and yelled"RUN!"

Yuki and Chi-lan found some rations in the broken down carigde, they took it and got back on there horses and rode off.
After about eight miles they took camp as the sky got dark. "Here looks like a good place said Chi-lan." they settled in making sure to hide there horses away from anyone passing on the rode.

As Norrin continued up the slope he thought about a lot of things mostly why fire came out of his mouth:

It's so strange I mean Master did say it could be done buy with much more practice and I wasn't even going for that, wow im quite lost in that matter, its a good thing im going to see the master I know he wil be happy to see me and will help me with this sitch as well as what i going to do with the princess i mean Ive got an idea but i'll need help. Yes master will be happy to see me but it's the others that i'm worried about.

Norrin traveled for about five or six ours before the sky became dark and decided he would have to make camp he was having trouble because he was basically on an incline and wasn't gonna be able to find flat ground. Norrin rode fore another our before the ground started to level out a little bit but still not enough to camp so he found a spot to dismount. He tied the horse to the nearest tree and started to search for a spot to sleep he walked a ways out when he thought he saw a cave but then he could here his horse make all kinds of noise. Norrin whipped around and started to run back as his horse got louder and louder untill silence.

Norrin made it back to his horse only to find his horse torn to pieces, limbs every were the head still tied with the rope dangling from the tree. Norrin had to wrestle control of his stomach. Norrin had seen many disturbing things people with missing limbs, heads and just while back at the camp murderd babies. But this was just horrible the horse was in several pieces. Then Norrin thought he saw movement behind him so he whipped around ready to fight but nothing. He looked all around him, he called out "Who's there!" But dead silence, eerie silence. Norrin collected him self and head towards the cave, he made it there and took a peek in side it was dark but he thought he saw light ahead, then the crackling of leaves THUNK!!

name: Tessa (it's my name, and i don't want to find some overly symbolic chinese name)

appearence: teal eyes, honey blonde hair, 5' 3"

skillz: she has no bending skills, she's a theif, she pretends to be with a guy then steals all of his stuff, and leaves him chained up in the woods
for dead

history: she came from an average family, but after witnessing her sister being stoned to death for stealing an apple for a poor girl, she became an vigil-anti who finds bad guys, seduces them, and steals all they got

conflict: she decides to team up with a group of rag-tag fire nation rebels who try to over throw the government, but gets a tempting money offer from the firenation to become an assain, and slowly picks off members of her rebel team, and no one suspects her because she is very sly and sneaky, until she begins to fall for one of the guys.

HAHAHA YEAH SHE AINT GOT NO MYSTERIOUS POWERS OR HORRIBLE BACKGROUND, she's jsut a good well rounded character
