That's how I did it before I started typing more per chapter.
Well, if you insist, I will give you what I've typed so far for the first chapter.
it's not much, because I haven't really thought about the next chapter completely.
Kela Dasman; Waterbender, Day 128. The Lobby, Morning.
The candy in the tray by the receptionist counter was waiting helplessly for Kela's next trick. He saw that there was a new group of people walking in through the door with traditional water tribe clothing. They talked loudly as they waited in line to see the receptionist. Instead of playing a trick on her to take some candy, he simply walked up and took one, and put it in his pocket. He thought about the glorious day he played a trick. 'Heh heh.' He thought. The receptionist was writing things down, as usual. Kela thought she was probably writing down her thoughts about innovations for the future and such. It didn't interest him any more.
He meandered over to the glass window, which was frosted with snow. 'I can hardly tell that it's springtime around here.' He thought. He drew ying and yang on the inside of the window, along with a poor self-portrait of himself. Then he dozed off and sat in on the bench near the window inside the lobby. He daydreamed about drawing a beautiful picture on the window the next time he came in. But he peeked again at his own drawing and forgot about it. Then he just sat there in silence, waiting for the time to come for Mar to come back from a meeting with a healer. On occasion, Mar would see this healer to get some advice and lessons on healing the sick and wounded. This attribute would be much more useful on the journey, due to the fact healing powers were a dire necessity in a pinch like Evelet's three months ago.

There's a preview, I'm doing it little by little so that I don't overwhelm myself on the first chapter. It has to be a smooth opening, you know?
Oh yeah, and I started watching Trigun. Awesome Anime.
