Are you a liar, or did you not understand that there are no magical eye powers in Avatar? Nice try Eman, but he's not even an Airbender. How about having a good old-fashioned, well-trained ear or eye for figuring out where people are? |
Wow... now 'bullsh*t' is vulgar... have you never seen the light of day before?
Hey man... I was like you. Full of crap. Keep it real, alright? Nothing personal.
Err... other than that, I suggest filling in a History, without which your character appears, most of the time, very enigmatic... too enigmatic. I don't think we'll be able to understand your posts. So for full comprehension, as well as to help you bring out emotional depth in your posts, please write a history. Don't be too lazy.
I might suggest moving away from the cliched assassin motif. He sounds like a typical assassin. Anything unique about him that isn't like Naruto or whatever? I'm sure you can think of something.
His personality sounds too mechanical. Maybe you want to incorporate emotion? And he's too young. Far too young... 21? Add a couple of years. 26 is great. It's still young, and the philosophical nature still fits.
I am intrigued by his clothing, and the symbols. However... Cloth-like trousers? Elaborate. Tell us how thick it is. It can't be too thin, or else there's absolutely no defense for his thighs. He's an assassin isn't he? And it can't be too thick, or else it'll affect his movement. Once again, he's an assassin, isn't he?
I love your weapons segment, by the way. But tell us more. You say that he's trained with many martial arts. Is there any martial art he favours? Any move he employs alot? Does he have his own style. Let's hope you can answer these questions.

I seriously don't have the strength to re-read the entire 60 pages of what I've missed. But I read the past 5 (hangs head in shame).
Oh veterans... Do we still allow posts to be written in the form of a script??? (expresses concern for standard slip)
What has been happening lately (looming frustration deepens and clouds of smoke appear beside ears)?!
Could we try to get... fuller characters? (not that fuller is actually a word, mind you)
(I seriously think I should stop speaking in brackets)
I liked a couple of your characters. They were pretty good, though I think Novoxy (god rest his soul) takes the cake for the fullest bio ever written on this thread. I take second place (jkjk).
Can somebody please please please tell me what has been going on? *puts on 70's cap. I'm feelin' totally outta the groovy loop, duuuudes!
Who are all these new players? Why are they writing in script? Jeez new guys... show some respect for your veterans! You can tick me off cause I'm just an old member. (strokes beard)
(SERIOUSLY! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME AND BRACKETS???)

Khuzo and Ridge, mercanaries
Current location unknown
--
In his mind, battles played back in his head. Khuzo shifted around in bed and mumbled. In his head, old battles were still raging. It wasn't stress or truama that brought them around, it was the things surrounding him. Old acquantices, past alliances, his brain occasionally replayed old memories when he saw things from them again. His dream was interrupted by a completely drunk Ridge entering the room. After a few more hours of sleep, banging and clanging, some woman screaming, and maniacal laughter woke him up. He knew it wasn't his business, but it still disturbed him. Maybe that was a good thing.
Ridge mumbled and his arm fell to the floor. A bottle clanged to the floor. Khuzo got up and walked to the door. He opened it and a guard walked by, then nothing. He went down the long, narrowing shaft until he finally got to the door that led to the main passage. He walked through and Smiley shoved his fat head up to see him.
"Ah, Khuzo. Your friend seems pretty happy with his time here. How about you?"
"Spare me. What information do you have for me?"
"Well, a little. My informants came back with some positive news. It turns out your kids are, according to rumor, escorts to two wandering soldiers to the Fire Nation. They're in a small village, not far from here, attempting to find passage to Ba Sing Se, where they will meet up with what I presume is the Fire Nation Army. Of course they tried to do so quietly, but there's always a trace, and I always find it. All the information is on this map." he said as he handed Khuzo a small, but well detailed map.
"Good, I'll get Ridge and we'll be on our way."
Within an hour they were ready to leave. Ridge tucked a few bottles of heavy duty alcohol underneath his pack and they left. As they got out into the sunlight, Ridge grumbled loudly. He stumbled over a few plants and then almost tripped over a wandering badgermole."
"Stupid sun. Stupid plants. Stupid badgermole. I'll make a roast outta your hide..."
They wandered along for sometime and then finally reached a small fishing village. Here, they met up with a fisherman who gave them a ride upriver. Together, the two marched and hitched rides all the way to Ba Sing Se. As they approached a large, open section that allowed people in and out, Khuzo tucked up his cloak and concealed his face. Ridge had disappeared for five years. He was fine. As the two passed through the crowd, a guard suddenly stopped Khuzo and grabbed his shoulder.
"You've been selected for further investigation, sir. Please stand aside."
Khuzo didn't move. Another guard suddenly came up and grabbed his hand.
"Sir, this way."
"He can't understand you. He's....you know...ill," Ridge said. He had a fake, worried tone to his voice.
"What do you mean?" the first guard asked.
"Well...he's...." Ridge made a motion at his head and spoke, "Durr....You know, out there. He's my brother. His parents were brutally murdered infront of him and then he was set on fire. That's why his face is covered. Take that cloak off and every woman here will pass out from the brutality of it."
The guard looked disgusted. He pushed Khuzo out of the way and spoke.
"Outta the way, freak. Alright. You two can go in."
Fifteen minutes later, Khuzo removed his cloak a little, and saw that they were in a large, thick bustling crowd of people. Guards were few and far between. Ba Sing Se was absolutely huge. Even the Fire Nation Army would have trouble guarding every street corner, and some would be avoided entirely. The two walked in silence for some time before they reached a small shop. Here, Khuzo checked around and then looked down at the map. His brother's last location was marked on the map. They had went to a large park area that was, according to the map, a Fire Nation Army encampment now. Khuzo silently pointed it all out the Ridge, who nodded that showed he understood.
The two quietly made their way through the crowded city streets and got to a small inn directly next to the park. The encampment was in plain sight. Tonight, Khuzo would get his cargo back, one way or another.
Ba Sing Se jails-
---------------------------------
"General How."
The man approached the solid metal bars. He wore a menacingly heavy-looking robe, lined with gold cloth. And his face matched his clothing. Though How knew this man was no threat to his peers, he couldn't help but back up as the Admiral kicked the Firebender's corpse out of the way.
"I saw your letter, How. It appears that General Fong has sold us out. We've taken out the guards, and Azula is in Omashu. Which means we have an hour to escape," Admiral Xu said as he bent open the metal doors.
How retreated further into his cell, afraid of Xu's power. He was a lower ranking official, but a more fearsome General in the Council. He commanded the respect of everyone- even General How.
He stood up, his back finally straightened after months cooped up in a little cell. As Xu led him out, the Earth Council guards followed behind the two most powerful men in the Earth Kingdom, their fists up, but their skin crawling.
In a few moments they appeared at the surface of the jails. Fire nation corpses lay on the ground, motionless.
It was obvious they were killed by Xu's men, though How had no idea how many men Ka Quan brought into Ba Sing Se.
They bent themselves all the way to Arirang, followed by dozens of marines from the blockade. Hanyang, Xu's deck-hand, followed closely behind everyone, making sure that nobody broke the loose 'V' formation.
They approached Arirang, and met General Sung there. With a small battle group of roughly 6 ships, The Earthbenders and Council members boarded the transports, and set course for the mountain fortress. To General Fong. To the secrets of the Fire Nation.
And nobody, not even Princess Azula would stop them from reclaiming their motherland.

Khuzo and Ridge, mercanaries
Ba Sing Se
--
Khuzo slipped past three guards and made his way through the camp. He came up against a wall and looked towards a large garden. Ridge's head popped out of the water and he quietly nodded his head. Khuzo was in full black clothing that blended him perfectly with the darkness. He silently crept through the camp. It was huge.
All around him soldiers were talking, and he occasionally picked up dialogue about "new guys" who were either crazy or just "eccentric". In particular, the gibbering one who carried the prisoners. Khuzo learned that the kids were stationed in a converted shop in the middle of the park and encampment. He passed by numerous guards, none of which payed him any mind. As he crept along, he came across a tent where a heated discussion was taking place.
"I'm being restationed? Why?" Itami asked.
"Because your talents are more useful in other fields. Fury will take your place," a familiar and hated voice spoke. It was Death.
Another spoke this time, who seemed to be Fury.
"My skills are more catered towards escorting prisoners. You're being assigned to the main front of the Earth Kingdom."
"Hey, whatever. With Khuzo dead, I have nothing to stick around for," he said. Khuzo suddenly ducked down as the tent flap opened and Itami walked right past him.
"Fury, I believe that mercanary may still be alive. He is well known for being near impossible to kill."
"Perhaps, but few can survive being washed away like that. I've never heard of it before. I'll go check on the prisoners."
Fury left now, but Khuzo remained hidden. He was once again in his element. Not even these guys could find him.
Death soon departed as well, but Khuzo had already left. As he approached the center building, he stopped and swooped down. Ridge was now moving along the garden waters, and was now signaling Khuzo. There was someone definitely inside the room with the kids. Khuzo nodded at Ridge and prepared for the worst. As he entered the room, he could see quite clearly that it was Fury. He wore a heavy coat that went down to his feet, and his hair was thick and matted and gray. Fury swiped some off his forehead and went back to reading the book he had in his hand.
Fury was unusually tall and muscular. At least eight feet tall, Fury stood with a medium sized, muscular build, and he wore a heavy coat over thick, heavy, red coated Fire Nation platemail armor, an usual thing indeed. His waist had a sword sheathed in a hilt, and his heavy coat almost covered his whole body. As he turned, his face was exposed to Khuzo, who saw numerous scars and battle marks. His face was hard, heavyset, and heavily defined.
Khuzo entered the room but stayed hidden. He saw the kids, chained up. Both were heavily restrained, tied up back to back, bound and gagged. Khuzo's eyes met Reika's and he signaled her silently. She looked up and saw him, and, uncontrollably, a smile reached across her face. Fury suddenly looked down at her and turned to see what she was looking at. Khuzo tried to retreat, but all at once the entire area was cleared of all the places he could've hid. They flew into the air and collided with each other, and Khuzo couldn't believe it. It was airbending.
Fury moved his arms around and nothing but debris fell to the ground. He looked down at the exposed Khuzo, who immediately drew his swords in defense.
"Those....little boy....won't do you any good..." he spoke with a low, guttural voice. It was clear that his voice had been mutilated after his neck had been mangled, leaving little speaking ability. As he reached down to the sword, he pulled it out of the sheath. However, nothing but a handle came out. Khuzo looked confused. Fury smiled as he reached his hand out and air suddenly flowed through the air into a visible current around the handle. It became clearly razor sharp, as Fury swept down at the remants of a nearby chair. The force of the current sliced through it and then completely erradicated the entire chair from the sort of shock wave. Khuzo's face was hidden, but it was clear that he was confused, trying to figure out how to fight a man who could make an intangible sword.
"And now.......the fun begins..." Fury said with glee in his voice.
Khuzo gulped. It was on.

Khuzo, mercanary, swordsmen
Ridge, mercanary, archer
Reika, healer and waterbender
Shungo, earthbender
Itami, Fury, Death
Ba Sing Se, Fire Nation Army encampment
--
Khuzo dodged the air sword, which extended well beyond it's original length. He flipped back and twirled his swords in his hands. Fury growled and prepared for another attack, but Ridge suddenly flew through the ceiling and into Reika. His impact caused the chair she was tied to to burst and she was now laying on the floor.
"Ur....Khuzo....we have a uh, slight problem..." he said with obvious pain and discomfort. Reika tried to push him off. She was making muffled noises through the bandana tied around her mouth.
Itami suddenly jumped through the wall, making a second hole. He landed and looked around.
"Sup."
Khuzo swung his swords at him, but Itami dodged it. Ridge picked himself up and pulled out his bow. He stumbled about, but Khuzo had already tackled and thrown himself and Itami through the wall, creating a third hole. Ridge looked around, half dazed, until he was thrown out of the building and made a fourth hole in the wall. Fury walked through it, leaving Reika still bound but now on the floor. She shouted muffled cries for being left behind.
Khuzo punched Itami in the face with the side of his fist and then slashed at him with his left sword. They were both soaked and half submerged in water from one of the rivers flowing past the building. He punched Itami again and again with his right hand when he realized they were too close for swords. Itami was too dazed to do anything. He hadn't even been given a chance to realize that Khuzo was there. Finally, after four or five more punches, Itami grabbed Khuzo's right hand and pushed him away. Itami tackled Khuzo and began punching him. Khuzo kicked Itami out of the water and off of him, and then jumped up. He reengaged Itami as Ridge ran inbetween tents shouting while Fury destroyed everything around him.
"WHOA! WATCH IT!" Ridge yelled as he readied his bow. He put two arrows in his mouth and grabbed a third and turned and fired. The arrow was immediately blown away by Fury's airbending. It soared into a nearby weapons supply tent and exploded, causing a huge fireball to erupted and flames shot out into the sky.
Reika suddenly jumped out of one of the many holes in the building, having managed to free her less restrained self. She began to waterbend, helping Khuzo in his battle against Itami. Khuzo had, for one reason or another, perhaps through the simple wish of wanting to throttle the life out of Itami with just his hands, had sheathed his swords. He turned and pointed at Reika.
"NO! This is MY fight now!"
"But last time-"
"Last time doesn't matter! Help Ridge!" he yelled again as he met Itami with a right swing. Itami's fist met Khuzo's in mid flight and their hands made a disgusting cracking noise-an obvious sign of the force of their punches-which signified the meeting of bone and flesh.
Itami punched with his other hand but Khuzo knocked back and then brought up another punch. Itami stumbled back and fell into the water. Reika had already left. She brought a massive cascade of water and wipe out all the arriving guards and soldiers. She went through the camp taking delight as she flew above them and washed everything away with the water surrounding them. She turned back and freed Shungo next, who proceeded to finish decimating the camp as he pleased. Meanwhile, Ridge did backflips and summersaults while firing arrows in mid air. Fury blocked them all.
"Foolish boy. Arrows? I'm an airbender, you dolt. Find a new fighting style."
"Nah, don't think so. I can shoot anything. It just takes time sometimes."
"You DON'T HAVE ANY TIME!" Fury yelled and he suddenly brought up several small twisters around the area. Ridge carelessly dodged them, cheerfully granted a grand challenge beyond his wildest dreams: An opponent to truly match him.
Death was now doing battle with Reika and Shungo. Their combined efforts, a skilled earthbender and talented waterbender, were enough to hold him down, for now. It was obvious he could decimate them, but their constant, unforgiving, relentless assault kept him focused soley on them. Reika began to shout obscene insults about everything ranging from his combat ability to his manhood. Shungo shouted as he bombarded him with rocks and boulders shot forth from the decimated earth around them.
"Insolent wretches...." Death grunted.
Khuzo knew the only reason their assualt had worked was suprise. Four attackers versus an entire Fire Nation Army base was absurd, but Khuzo had managed to organize them into a suprise attack from within. If the four had merely attacked the base, Death alone would've been enough to hold them off, or perhaps even kill them all. Khuzo was now on the defensive, Itami had received a massive boost in power, perhaps from suddenly snapping out of the confusion. Khuzo knew it would only be a matter of time before the others noticed an increase in Fury and Death's power as well. The second there was a break, from either fatigue or simply a break in concentration, one of them would repel and counterattack with more force than imaginable. Khuzo was now pulling his swords out to keep up.
"AHAHAHA! GETTING CAUGHT UP IN SOMETHIN' BROTHER?" Itami yelled. His face was crazed, with hair bent down over his face from the water and his eyes lit up with brilliant insanity.
Khuzo looked back for a moment to see how Ridge was doing. He was now jumping over and around wreckage trying to get a shot. Khuzo knew Ridge was good, definitely good enough to get even an airbender for sure, but Fury was definitely something along the lines of beyond master and beyond any other rank of power or known tier. "Master" didn't cut it when it came to these Twelve guys. Super Crazy Almighty Grandmaster might have been an appropriate ranking. It wasn't a lack of bending Khuzo was worried about either. Itami could easily hold his own against any one of these benders, if not more than one.
Itami swung with his fist and Khuzo ducked, but suddenly a large number of sounds interuppted their battle. Khuzo and Itami looked over to see a hail of arrows, in the hundreds rain down on them. Khuzo blocked them with his swords, and stood his ground. Itami disappeared for a moment, but soon jumped out of the darkness and tackled Khuzo. However, their fight was interupted, much to Khuzo's chagrin as well as happiness, by a massive, powerful mob. Resistance leaders must have noticed the chaos and taken advantage of the moment. Itami suddenly shouted some kind of code, but the others had already taken notice. Death had created a massive, thick mist with the surrounding water. Reika emerged over it and cleared the mist away. Death, Fury, and Itami were gone.
Ridge suddenly appeared next to Khuzo, and Shungo and Reika appeared beside him soon enough. As the mob broke through the encampment, they suddenly disappeared as fast as they came.
"They must be underground," Khuzo suggested, just before he heard shouts and saw lights coming from all sides of the streets surrounding them. One of the fleeing men called out to them:
"Come with us if you want to see tommorow, friend!"
