r0kuavatar i think ur wrong why changed an already good plot. It will fun to watch if it was in live action than in animation. I thought only book one was planned and not the other yet to see how this one does before they do the others. Like the did for pirates

You've got to open your mind to the possibilities. It'll take some getting used to, but it'll be worth it. The trailers, I'm sure, will help us slowly become familiar with the new characters before the movie actually premiers. By the way, go to the official thread for this movie and find out about casting info. Here's the link to a part of the script. It actually was pretty good

Lolz, I loved the Avatar reference there!

And is that actually part of the script?! Because if it is, that's so awesome!! I thought it was pretty good, too!

Lmao, thanks for recognizing =D It might not actually be part of the movie, but that's going to be similar to the writing in it.

I like R0kuavatar's idea (I like the sarcasm in it as well, that always makes an arguement fun), it's just I'm afraid of ever watching a Live-Action Avatar. Aang, played by Morgan Freeman... Sokka, played by Sean Connery. I'm scared, mommy...

In the Q&A session at SDCC, MDD said the movie is gong to be a straight-up adaptation. So whilst there will be some minor differences, an entirely different storyline will not happen.

But I do hope that the story line stays true to Book 1. I know it's supposed to be slightly different, but I feel like if just a minor change were to occur the character development or the plot line might drastically change. I mean, our observations of the series depend on tiny details. This could completely derail our whole theory of the show. NOOOOO!

I just think we have to see the movies and the series as two completely seperate things. Like the HP movies. It's going to be different, as it is an adaption of the series and not the exact same thing, and as much as i(we) dont want anything to change, it will.

The Harry Potter movies weren't THAT different, they just excluded things. Except for the 5th, which was ridic. different.

i hate the 5th one!!!! But you know what i mean though? Lots of people hate the HP movies because they aren't exactly the same as the book, and the same thing will probably happen to the Avatar movies.

i agree. (although to be fair, the 5th movie wasn't at all like the book...so i could understand that)

I actually thought it was quite epic. I wish JK Rowling did it.

That is the one thing that I am holding onto. That Bryke will be working on this movie. Without them, I would lose ALL hope. ALL OF IT. But, M. Night has claimed to be a fan, and Bryke will be there. Nothing can go wrong, right?

Byrke should hopefully do a good job with it, but it just seems a little too much of a thrill-ride for me to have the 21-century failure taking on such an elaborate story. For god's sake, it took him two hours to explain why some chick was swimming in a hotel pool at night! But still, I'm not losing hope. Tough like a rock... or a diamond... or maybe M. Night Shyamalan... Wait, scratch that last one. Shyamalan is known for the tears.
