    1. The Earth Kingdom has opened 5 new hatcheries for badger-moles, who will be trained from birth to maximize loyalty and obedience.

    2. The Earth Kingdom has also created a new type of airship called a sandship. It will contain multiple sand benders and will drop "sand bombs" from the air. Each ship will contain 50 tons of sand. Sand has a tendency to damage machinery. These sandships will be built immediately.

    3. The Earth Kingdom has heard of the injustice of the Fire Nation. They are more determined than ever to win this war. Our soldiers have increased.

Just a quick thing I wrote. IT'S NOT MY TURN.

A lot. I'm not sure where you left off, but the FN basically just did what Ozai wanted to do in the finale. They burned down a third of my land to the ground. Now it's EK's turn.

You mean they are burning our land down. The EK is poised to react. We just need libraman to be here.

Burnt. There is nothing you can do about it. That land is about as dead as Athens was after the Spartans were through with them in the Peloponesian War (my historical basis for the ability of a determined nation to wreak havoc upon another nation).

I will come out now and congratulate Axrendale.

But also, with hard work, if we want to, it would not be impossible to recultivate the land. We are EARTHBENDING PEOPLE after all.

Don't get me wrong, it would take like eight turns and be a slow and ardous process, but using earthbending, we could rebuild colonies, and use badgermoles or other creatures to get undergound resources such as unrefined metal out of the area.

It is not completely useless, it has simply been burnt down. People have rebuilt scorched land in our world, doing it here is not impossible. Then again, there is a WAR going on.

True, but recultivating the land would require massive work from all of your earthbenders. you would probably have to sacrifice half your army for 8 turns. Are you really willing to do that?

We would not. Colonies, especially in such a position, would be eaiser than that if done the right and effecient way. We would not attempt to recultivate it all at once. Only small colonies where major resources are acquirable. Such could be done with smaller military regiments and civilian volunteers, and badgermoles could be used to mine and process the land back into a furtile condition with human assistance.

Reconstruction would be long, as I said, but I'm not talking about doing the whole place at once.

It's not just about the land itself - what about the forests? They'll have to be re-grown. What about the animals? New ones will need to be introduced. The rivers? Thousands of dead bodies were dumped in those rivers, many were diverted or dammed. An who will really want to live in a place like that, where the Fire nation has proven that it can so easilyreach out and take their lives...

Forests are secondary. I'm talking about war resources for colonization. Metal and numerous other valuable resources are found underground. We can build colonies to harvest them. Rebuilding the entire land will take much longer, of course. And the animals that live there, many live in the other parts of the EK.

I'm not sure what you meant by importing, but if you meant from another nation, that's incorrect.

Sorry, imported was the wrong word - introduced would have been better.

And you're forgetting that ever since I took over this land, I have been mercillessly strip-mining it. Granted, there was no way I could have gotten everything, but still, the land is somewhat depleted.

As earthbenders and with our animals, we can undoubetdly raech vast reserves you could not.

There is plenty there. Drills can not tunnel as deeply or as effectively as we can. There is plenty left there.

I had thousands of earthbender slaves.

Yes, but there are surely rich deposits you didn't get too. That is a huge piece of land. The lands closest to our own are also probably unmined, as you would have had insufficient time to put mining slaves on the front lines.

Libraman, look back one page and Axrendale posted an updated map.

Axrendale, the slaves you have will refuse to obey you. Sadly, we live by the quote, "The people of the Earth Kingdom are proud and strong. They will endure anything, as long as there is hope." You can throw whatever you want at them, but they still won't budge. There's all the hope in the world

QFT, libraman, is it okay if I post the rest of our counter now, or are you still reading my PM?

They said exactly that. And then they met Azula.

Speaking of the slaves, something else Libraman needs to decide is how much damage that slave decoy army I sent in did. I don't expect it to be much, but still, some losses are in order for the EK.

Slash and Burn Farming. Burnt crops revitalize the soil. The forests are going to be a mess, but the farmland will be fine.

Crop rotation, also known as crop sequencing and the three field system. A farming system that was used during the Middle Ages. One field was planted in grain, the second was planted in legumes, and the third was planted with nothing so it could recover fertility.

Thats a vocab word for my summer assignments. It could greatly help, but it would take a while.

Yeah, I know about it. But my point is that the burning will be beneficial - in the long run. Which is exactly what I told everyone in the Fire nation, of course.

I think the outcome of that is obvious. Even if they don't refuse to fight, we can still just carpet bomb them with the airships. They won't do much.
