Ofcourse there are major flaws, that happens in practically all these shows, but I thought about it and realized that the whole eclipse situation is not a flaw and makes sense.
there arent MAJOR flaws... only a few minor ones.. like Sokka who all of a sudden has his weapen back in the last episode.

He may as well been holding a giant banana??instead of that boomarang. He would have done just as much damage to the Earth King guards...

All shows have there??MINOR flaws, nothing is perfect. But there are no major flaws that would completely destroy Avatar. And besides, we are speculating about flaws that may just be answered if everyone would calm down and just wait for the answers to come rolling along as the show progresses. About the whole eclipse thingy, we will just have to wait and see what they do...

IMHO, logical flaws really detract from a show.

That said, the flaws pointed out here can be explained relatively rationally.

No not the boomerang, his little club. The sandbenders found it in Appa's saddle and tossed it away, but he is seen holding it in The Earth King. Some people think for some reson he may have two though, probably because they saw his action figure, he has two clubs there.

thats what im trying to say, he has 2 (!!!) weapens in his ''boomerang holder''. in The Earth King'' he holds his club and this other weapen (not the boomerang)

No really. They're in the middle of Ba Sing Se, and there just happens to be a creek she can use to attack jet with. At the palace, there's a bunch of moats. How'd they get the water out there, anyways?

It was a palace, but you could take as a castle anyway. Most of those places have "fosos" (the word is in Spanish, I don't know the right translation) full of water in order to protect them from invaders. I think this follows the same idea, you can't have a palace or castle without some water surrounding it in case of invaders. Besides, there seem to be several water bodies around, like Lake Laogai.

LOL in this case they WERE invading, but they could just simply cross the bridge... srry but i dont think thats the reason why that water was there

That "other weapon" is his machete(sp?). He holds his machete in this thingy on the side of his leg, see.....

Sorry, the Nick sing is kinda in the way. But he DOESN'T have two clubs, one boomerang, one club, and one machete. On the action figure he has two clubs, but that's it.

No problem. But are you sure, I mean think about it, his boomerang holder is shaped liek an "L" ov a "V" or whatever, so how could something straight and long fit into it? It'd be like sticking the letter "I" into it. hehe i luv letters.....

I've been noticing a bunch of major flaws in Avatar.?? Not just little things, but huge details that affect the whole series.?? Someone just mentioned the solar eclipse.?? How come firebenders can't bend during a solar eclipse, yet they can still bend at night??? It's the same thing, except the Earth is blocking the sun instead of the moon.?? Another flaw is that the Dai Li seem to be very good fighters, much better than a regular earth nation soldier.?? Why is it then, that other earth soldiers can't be trained like the Dai Li??? They might be able to win the war very easily. ??

I might be wrong about this, but the sun is just on the other side of the earth, so they still can get sun, but from farther away, same with the moon, but during an eclipse, it is covered all the way.

Okay, I understood the whole troop thing, I was just looking for an example. I don't think there's an answer to this one though Ever notice that Katara always has water when she needs it? Invading the palace Fighting Jet (both times) When they're fighting the pirates

So you mean to tell me you've never seen her pull water out of her little pouch. She's had it every episode. Sokka even pointed it out in The Fury of Aang, when they are thirsty in the desert, and Sokka says somethin like, "Eeew, that's your bending water."

The Dai Li seem to be all earth benders. The military doesn't seem to have all earth benders. Though you'd think the military would have those cool ninja-esque rock gloves so they can fight too.

here's a big one, SINCE WHEN ARE COMETS BALLS OF FIRE? they're ice right? and the tail is melting ice and dust from the giant block of the commet?
