If you have the episode she's in, you can always check the credits at the end if you think the offical site isn't good enough.

The burden of proof falls on you...you check the credits.

I already proved it by showing you the official website. If you want further proof, you're just going to have to stop being lazy and check the credits yourself.

Hey, the official website could be wrong. And I have no way to check the credits.

BTW, why are we arguing over a single letter in the name of a character that only appeared in one episode? We must be bored.

I have to disagree with you Ramen. How is it up in the air when the official website and the end credits all have her named spelled 'June?' ASN is a fansite run by fans. So is DBF. Fans are vain if they think they know more than the official sources.

Well, to be honest, it makes more sense if it's spelled "Jun." That looks like an authentic transliteration of an Asian name. "June" just looks like a cheap Western bastardization like "Peking."

You're not a weeaboo, are you? Because that's what drives me crazy. People thinking a name sounds better if it's spelt more 'Asian-ish.' I think it's a disservice to the character.

Tom Tom, Jet, all the freedom fighters; all spelt like they sound.

    I don't know. What's that?

And what was the topic of this thread again?

I don't think Jet and the other Freedom Fighters' names are really those. It's like the lost boys; they gave themselves nicknames to establish themselves.

And Tom Tom might be a nickname too. Why would they name their daughter, Mai, and their son Tom Tom?

I'm just saying, Avatar takes place in a Pseudo-Asian world, so why wouldn't Jun's name be Jun instead of June? I know what I just said isn't going to change your mind, just listen to the reason why I like Jun instead of June. You can have your reasons, and I can have mine.

It doesn't matter if those are their real names or not. If this show was strictly Pseudo-Asia, their nicknames would still be spelled 'Asian-y.' Not to mention there would be 5 elements instead of 4. This show draws ideas from many cultures, not just China. Heck, the FN landscape is based on Iceland.

And as for your question: because the creators said so. As I said before: official source > fan preference.

Debate is over, it's clear that it is spelled June and not Jun, if you sound them out Jun doesn't even sound like "June". And like MarryLarry said Avatar is inspired by man cultures not just Asian.

Ok so Zuko is a good guy now, and even though he was never really evil, he has a lot of asplainin' to do.

So, I was thinking, do you think they'll make an epilogue or additional episode or miniseries showing not only what happens to the other charaters, but also if Zuko goes back and seeks redemption for the sins he commited? Like trying to make ammends with Song, that annoying kid he saved and his mom, and the other characters he met?

Well, he already somewhat apologized to Suki... I guess that's a start.

Does anyone really feel Zuko needs to make amends with anyone other than the Gaang anyway? I mean he's not directly responsible for the things that Sozin and Ozai did?

They can't have him doing it in the epilogue, that is too late to apologize.
