I dont know if this has already been brought up, but it seems like when they are making new episodes they tend to rush and use a different animation studio so they can get the episodes out faster, resulting in episodes like The Chase and The Desert, and I noticed recently that Return to Omashu doesn't look quite like the normal Avatar animation either. What do you guys think?

Avatar Day looked really different, it kinda looked grainy. Other than that, I think the animation looks a little better than the first season.

Well certain epiosdes has a different animator crew?? "The Chase" had good animation towards the end but not he begaining the "The Desert" the people who animated"The Chase" were used again. so every few epiosdes the animation will be different.

Yeah, I remember in the desert how I thought it looked different because Katara had really huge ears. Or was it just me?

Thank God. I cannot deal with anymore abnormally huge ears on those guys. But like I said, a two year old can draw better than me so I have no right to say anything...

Well I'm quite sure there gonna use the Library style for most of the seasons remainer.

i remember that in the southern airtemple they looked really weird... thie eyes were idk just different...

ok heres the animation in the southern air temple
and heres the animation from the library
the first one just looks diferent at least their eyes they look weird... the library looks more normal...

i noticed that in some episodes the animation doesnt look right in some way... and in others its really good

Scenes in the Desert were good. But yeah, the animation was disappointing. Not only did Katara have huge ears but she somehow lost her shoulders and the shape of her head changed. Toph was the only character who looked like she's drawn halfway normal.

I can't ever concentrate on the episode because of the animation. When Aang was angry, he didn't really seem genuinely angry through the way he looked. Katara is normally pretty, but I hate having to watch a bobblehead during these episodes. In The Desert, the only animation that was appropriately cartoony in my opinion was when Sokka and Momo were high off of the cactus juice lol

That was funny but Secret of the Fire nation will be as good as the Library animation was I checked to see who was the animators for it.

It's not because they were rushed or anything it's just different animation styles done by different people.
You have to remember that it takes about one year to make a single episode that means they have many different people doing many different episodes simultaneously. So having so many different artists there are bound to be a number of slight differences from one to another episode.
