You people realize this war was started in the year 1337?

    It must be true.

How could you say something so awful?

    1337.

Anyway, interesting comparisons. There was a great film about Joan of Arc I saw once, I can't remember what it was called but it was mostly about her having these long conversations with Satan, very interesting.

Yes, because the 6 foot head of a terrorist organisation which seeks to kill millions of people and impose its ideaology on an unwilling civilisation through bloodshed, violence and no fear of death is soooo similar to a goofy 12 year old kid who wants to save the world from an evil empire.

Please don't even joke about that kind of thing. Especially not today, on July 7th.

Ah! A history lesson *runs away*

*comes back for a second to praise the author* kudos to you the thread author in seeing the link, the whole read was quite interesting and I can see the similarities so it could be possible that some ideas were taken from the war.

Can I quote myself? "Emo crown prince who spent his childhood being mistreated, ignored, and generally passed over by his insane father".

How much more obvious could I make it?

Actually, there was somthing I forgot - by all accounts the prince (his name was charles) was actually very good looking, at least by the standards of the day. Does that make it easier for some *coughfangirlscough* people?

Are you sure about that? What if a monk's on cactus juice?
But seriously, there are some pretty big similairities between the two wars.

I saw that more of as the Earth King under Long Feng, since he was on the French's side all the time and not the English. Also, his father lost quickly.

Even so, where is Iroh's? Obviously repopulating both England and France with his God-like player powers, but who was he?

It isn't a perfect match, I just noticed some parallels.

As to your second I can only reply that you got it right with the word "god-like". According to the thinking of the time, God had been on the side of the english for the first hundred years, only to change his mind at the last minute and switch sides. Kind of like Iroh really.
