In the end, who made it and what it's rated really don't matter that much (although I personally would like to see it at PG-13). If it is as epic as we know it is going to be, then word will get out, and people will go to see it.

The people we're really aiming to please initially are the reviewers - nothing kills a move faster than bad reviews.

I don't think reviews will make people our age want to see it. I know for a fact that NONE of my friends would ever go see that movie. EVER. Even if it was the next Dark Night.

    Are they that anti-avatar?

That's not even the half of it. It makes it hard for me to enjoy them on a daily basis. It's quite an obstacle to have friends that not only don't enjoy one of your favourite interests but HATE it as well.

thats not true alot of the younger audience's see movies with a parent present. At my theater they won't let you in unless you have an ID or a parent with you

I don't think kids would say "oh it's PG-13 we can't see it" they'll just take a parent with them. I know i wouldn't let my 10 year go to a movie without an adult there.

I know that if MY daughter wanted to go see the movie and she was under ten I wouldn't let her go, no matter how much she wanted to. I would maybe see it first, but I wouldn't trust the movie. We're a bit biased, but you've got to look at it from a caring mother's perspective.

But you've got to realize that most children interested in Avatar are at MOST 7-10 years of age. PG-13 movies are PG-13 for a reason. It could be because of violence, sexual suggestions, or even language. You can say the F word in a PG-13 movie, you know. Would you want your children to be exposed to that? Would you want them to see people DYING epically? M. Night will have to cool it if he wants his younger fans to see the movie.

lol children are exposed to much worse on tv unless there are parental blocks. Maybe not a 7 year old but 10 and up. I would watch R rated movies with my mom when i was really young. I never swear, i just don't like too. It just depends on the way u were brought up i guess. It should be rated PG but i'm just saying i don't think a PG-13 rating would make people not see it

I don't think PG-13 rating would prevent people form seeing it, but parents would be much more lenient in letting their child go if it was PG. But I do think that by making it PG-13 the movie would be better. But I wouldn't want it because of language or sexual references. I would want it because of the battle scenes. Epic to the third degree.

AGAIN, the MPAA has been lenient as of late. I'm sure if PRINCE CASPIAN got a PG rating, this will too.
And the last 2 Potter movies have been PG-13, but has that stopped kids from seeing them?

Lmao. So, let's start a new movie topic. What kind of music do you think they'll use? Do you think they'll stick to the original epic Avatar music or change it up a bit?

I think it'll be mostly original scores but hopefully they might add at least the opening theme.

I think they'll keep the melody the same but change the instruments around and add in some additional harmony blah blah blah. The music is toooooooo amazing to completely give up.

That would be awesome. But there are some websites that have the music to the finale, though.

Another problem is with Zhao. I want to get the sense that he's the villain for this film, but I'm sure Zuko will get most of the screentime. They also have to introduce him somehow, but I doubt it will be through the Agni Kai.
I also hope we get all of Zuko's flashbacks in this movie. It would make more sense then scattering it all throughout this and the next.
