It says you can rent book 3 right below the description. Netflix has the same thing for the 1st 2 seasons.

It says 4-disk volume. And for S1 it says 5-disk volume.

If you look next to each Avatar season compilation title, it says how many discs come with your rental. For the S3 compilation it says '4-Disc Series.'

That's all four discs to S3. There aren't any more than that.

Netflix only rents Avatar by the season compilation apparently and not by the individual DVDs.

It's not a mistake because I know of at least one person who has actually rented this compilation and has already seen the finale thus far.

I cannot believe Nickelodeon would end Avatar like this? I mean three years and we are now reduced to finding out the uber-awesome, epic ending to Aang's story through children's books and now available to rent a month and a half before it is set to air on Nick?

    I don't get it?

    Bingo.

What can they be thinking? It will be just like BR:1 and BR:2, we will all freakin' see the remaining episodes to the series BEFORE July 29th when the DVD is actually released. Wth Nickelodeon?

Hey, I just thought of another 'it's not Nick's fault' theory. Probably pure crap, but worth a thought.

We all agree that Avatar has one of the most dedicated fanbase in the world. Right? If there's a way to watch the episodes before the airdates, we'll know them.

Maybe every channel does this all the time with a lot of shows, it's just that we notice it because we're more obsessive.

Maybe this kind of stupidity is the 'norm' on TV.

    Unlikely, but worth a thought.

    Hold the phone...UPDATE! LOL

We just tried to order this compilation through Netflix and when we got through our order it says that the fourth DVD will be shipped in JULY when it is released!!!

So you can see discs 1-3 of S3 but not disc 4 until July 29th, which they send to you separately later. YAY!

Sorry for the minor panic attack everyone.

Hmmm. I will have to talk to my source as they said they rented it and got all four DVDs?!? Maybe they sent them out originally and then corrected their error? I don't know.

I think you are pretty spot-on TT. I think Nick NEVER expected to have their every decision about a kid's show monitored and verbally commented on so vehemently all across the internet as it has been the case with Avatar.

I think Netflix just has it listed so you can place it in your que (sp?) for later. Usually, a movie is listed before it comes out so poeple can in a way "call dibs". But it's odd how earlier they have it listed. Who is willing to place this dvd at the top of their list and try to rent it?

EDIT: Was I late or what? I'm glad this situation was sorted out!

*Breathes a sigh of relief* Phew. I guess even Nick isn't that dumb to release the finale before it airs.
