does this mean that 852,694 people bought the DVD? crazy....

Oh, and take that spongebob! Number 1 puts number 3 to shame.

I don't think so because look under it the DVD under it has the number 24091 and Spongebob has a similar number toAvatar. I think it's just a barcode or product number.

Yea it's the catalog #, it says so on the example.

aww...then how many did it sell?
No idea, I don't even know anywhere to check.

Sorry, I like to pull that out whenever I can. Avatar quotes work in pretty much any situation.

I live to insert random Avatar quotes in every facet of life. LOL

This is good news, maybe we can get a spin-off sometime in the future. I got my copy second day, although it was hard to find.

From your mouth to the Avatar God's ears. I would settle for the three hour-long animated Avatar movies going straight to DVD at this point. Anything done by Mike and Bryan post-Aang's story would be welcome.

I'm going to try to make it a point in life to memorize anything meaningful Iroh said. Which is pretty much everything he said.

You can see the DVD sales data on the-numbers.com

    Here is the link. http://www.the-numbers.com/dvd/charts/weekly/thisweek.php

It looks like it moved nearly 52,000 units and sold a little over $500,000 in its first week.

    Also, it debuted at #20

    IT'S OVER 499,000!!

Is 500,000 dollars a lot for a DVD, by the way? Seriously, I'm asking. :F *braces for impact*

And that was in it's first week, amirite? It's the third week now so hopefully some late buyers bought it.

Sweeeeet. Thanks for the news, everyone! This is awesome, we did it, guys! I wonder if all the propaganda from this site made a difference? Does anyone have the first week sales for the volume 1 and 2 DVDs?

Finally, Avatar is getting the recognition it deserves.

And about 2 weeks before the finale, the word 'hype' will be redefined (quoted from PsychoPass).

Avatar will end on the highest note possible.

Looks like so far only the 1st week sales have been counted on Numbers.com and it sold approximately 52, 000 copies. Which earned Nick somewhere around $500, 000, which is Over Nine Thousand!!!.
