| If Aang if already a master airbender, and he has already trained for water bending, does this mean only 2 more seasons? Will the series be over by this time next year? |

| Here's another question.. Earthbenders are born into the earth kingdom, fire into fire, etc...since the air nomads are men, do parents just drop off their kids if they show airbending skills, or were the nomads hanging out in towns looking for kids and that's how aang knew so many people from the different nations. |

| no problem sly4me. i just wondered how the guys started the air training. aang could not have been born to the monks, he had to have come from one of the other nations to start his training. since the writers never mention any parents and even zuko mention that aang must not know his dad being brought up by monks (the second part of boy in the iceberg) |

sly4me, I loved your first answer! Well, let's look at the Shaolin monks. Not all of the monks who train there stay there for their whole lives. Some go to other temples of course, but some also go back into everyday society. That's how Kung fu got spread around the world. Maybe that is the way it is with the Air Nomads. I think the Nomads, being constant travelers and highly spiritual adopt the "it takes a village to raise a child" approach. The Temples probably serve that purpose--a sort of spiritual haven and school, a home base for travelers, etc. If that turns out to be the case, then there were probably some Nomads who were not at the Temples when they were ransacked. I thnk we will find out that there are, indeed, some Airbenders out there somewhere. |

| But does that only apply to airbenders? Is that the only group that's its hereditary in b/c the twins in the Fortune Teller only 1 was an earthbender? |

Hey mellomuse didn't you get the Avatar book that said that all airbenders can bend, wait that didn't come out right, I mean to say that didn't the book say that the children of Airbenders are Airbenders. |

Well, the cine-manga says that the air nation is different from the other nations in that "all Air Nomads are airbenders." So, I guess that means that all Air Nomad children would need to go to one of the temples to study. If they all stayed at the temples and stayed monks and nuns forever, though, there wouldn't be any little airbender children, since the temples were not coed. |

Maybe they came together at a designated time every year and all the nuns and monks hooked up or maybe they went the Queen Hippolyta way and formed the kids out of clay or since they're airbenders out of air. |
