The creators were SO not lazy... it's totally Nickelodeon's fault for acting like it was the best episode ever.
I admitte some of the disappointment came from the big hype. But I mean come on! The sea serpent fight was bad! Usually in an avatar fight when some one bends a blow it is explained were it goes.......In that fight it was just a whole lot of movement, LAZY!!!
You could say the storyboarders were quite lazy. You have to understand all aspects of the show are not the sole responsibility of the creators. Their role is to oversee things, sometimes write (and direct - as Mike DiMartino will be directing the s2 finale) and edit the final product. They are usually not that involved with the storyboarding (as that's what they have directors and storyboard artists for). Storyboarders pretty much guide the animators. You can blame the storyboarders or the animators, but you can't blame it all on the creators. Whoops - I forgot. The show is done entirely by two men. Mike DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko have no other staff working for them and the names in the credits are just their alternate identities. They do everything in the show by themselves. It's unfair to just say "the creators were lazy." I actually thought the Serpent fight was pretty cool and well done. Am I to take it you don't like the Jet-Zuko fight because there was no bending? THAT WAS THE POINT! It was a sword fight because Jet can't bend and Zuko obviously can't firebend and expose himself to the Earth Kingdom. For a sword fight it was pretty good.

The fight was awsome but the scene should of been one total scene instead of multiple ones.

I like it the way it is... it makes the story smoother IMO.

On second thought I nevered cared but anyway Season 2 rocks and it will get better at the finale

I have no blue why I don't like season 2 as much as season 1. Season 1 is funnier and had better fights. The only fight I liked in 2 was Azula/Aang. I also think 2 is kinda wandering, kinda like Pirates 2. It had a plot, but more (sometimes unneccesary) things are added and you just not quite get what their main goal is that exact minute.

I don't know here you can say we don't have enough action...the best action sequences in Avatar have come this season...I mean c'mon na Toph single handedly takin down about 6 Earthbenders...Aang vs. Zuko vs. Azula? Aang vs. Azula...I mean the only fight from season 1 that (to me) is in these fight's league is the Zhao vs. Zuko in the 3rd episode...so far I'm loving this season

I think season 2 is pretty good, too. There has been plenty of action, and they can't put too much in because they have to continue developing the storyline. As I said before, I like season two.

Well "Tales of Ba Sing Se" was a filler in my opinion. With only five episodes left until the end of the season I would think they'd start focusing on the potential coutnerattack against the Fire Nation. The things I want to see:
    -Aang meeting the Earth king
    -Zuko learning to bend ligthning
    -Aang vs. Zuko
    -Aang vs. Azula
    -Zuko vs. Azula
    -Toph vs. Azula
    -Katara vs. Zuko again!
    -Mai meets Zuko
    -Ty Lee meets Sokka
-A full-fledged attack on Ba Sing Se
    -The Solar Eclipse

Think they can manage that in just five episodes?

Here's another one, Sokka and Katara finally see their father again. I'd love to see more Water benders. Perhaps in season three.

I'm dissapointed that in a 20 episode season, the creators found room for a filler! that's ridiculous.

That would be great to see, or to see what happens at the South Pole.

not enough action? "the drill" was chock full of it, and I have been looking forward to the duo hook swords (jet) and duo blades (zuko) fight for months!!!

asides, these episodes are meant for character development. and each episode has some action, in one way or another we see a new aspect to bending, or some really cool stunts.

    so shut up.

    Truth hurts.??

Seriously, for the warmongers - well, you'll get plenty of action and story advancement later, but there has to be a time for the gang to have a little room to breathe.
