At this time, the poll reads 52% to 48%, which is still too close to call, (kinda like Clinton Obama LOL) But I'm not ready to say that the two demographics are indeed nearly equal yet, as the poll has only been up a day, and more calculations must be perfomed. However, for the time being, it seems that my original equation may have been off by about 3%, which really isn't much...

Told ya it would be even. xP

Anyway, it would be hard to get a good census unless you venture to other forums and sites also.

ahhhh....statistics. worst class ever. (at least it would be if you had my teacher) assign everyone in the avatar fandom a number, and then using a simple random sample pull at least 30 people, but no more than 10% of the fandom's numbers and see if they are a boy or girl. then your answer would be legit. but that's too much work, so this is good too. it just has a voluntary response bias XD

Yeah, I'll have to do more research than this, but this is just the start. With Tomtitan's help I may be able to get a few more studies done, and I'll be sure to share the results with anyone who cares LOL.

Wow, I didn't expect it to be like this, I thought one thread would be enough, but now it looks like I'll need a full fledged survey to figure out this enigma.

lol, I didn't expect the female part of the population to win. xD

    Male - 39%
    Female - 61%

Now this is enough of a difference, but you still need more time.

Even with 44 total votes, we still have the problem of coincidence and and equation, which prevents an accurate small scale reading of the population. If you take into account that you need to know whether there are more boys or girls on tv.com, and that coincedence of whether more boys or girls will be drawn to this thread to vote...

You see what my problem is. The facts are, that without a worldwide Avatar census, it would be nearly impossible to tell whether there are more boys or girls watching the show. Instead, I'll stick to my theory. Even though girls are winning in the poll. Keep voting though, it'll be interesting to see how this little part of the big survey ends up, even though it won't exist...0_o

I thought girls would outnumber boys. Not because of ay theory, formula or equation, but simply because from experience I've seen more girls here than boys.

    But still, who knows?

Okay this is so sick and wrong, but the results right now are the OPPOSITE of predicted in my equation. I predicted, (with a formula) Guys:55%
    Girls:45%

Again, people will say "If you knew it was so close why did you even bother?"

Well because, if it wasn't close I wouldn't have anything to argue about would I?

But it ended up like this...

    Guys:45%
    Girls:55%

I'm saying that's as close as you're gonna get to the final standings, but that's from what I've seen now.

You can't ask science that question! Don't you know that science is very sensitive to questions like that?

No, didn't it say you would kill your father and marry your mother, but in attempt to prevent that, you ran away from your supposed parents. On your trip, you killed some guy on a road because you have terrible road-rage, and wound up in a kingdom, and married a woman who is significantly older than you, but you don't question it. Jump forward years later, you find out the parents you thought were your parents turn out to have adopted you and your wife was married to the guy you killed and together they had a son but had to get rid of him because of a prophecy ("science")said that he would grow up to kill his father and marry his mother. Sooo.. It turns out that your wife is your mother, and you killed your father. And now your kids are inbred socially rejected, weirdos (the girls anyway)

    What a twist!

The total number of votes isn't addequet for a proper conclusion. Not to mention since this is the Internet, you're looking at a worldwide view.

However you can conclude your findings based on a worldwide bias of industrailized nations or nations technologically advanced enough for there to be widespread TV signals.
