Nickelodeon (ended 2008)

Are the Spirit World and Spirit-Bending, representations of the fifth element?

Is there a fifth element in the Avatar world?

The Spirit World, the Lion Turtle, Spirit-Bending etc, do you think that they represent the classic element "Aether", in the Avatar world...? Or do you think that there are and always will be four elements?

    There are 4 elements.

In the time before elements, when existance was just starting, entities would have the same power as benders, but with no elements, all they could bend was energy, to create matter and alter/remove other energies, which is what aang did, remove the energy of ozai that allowed him to firebend.

So, Spirit World is a world for sacred creatures, and 'Spirit-Bending' is one of the many terms Mike and Bryan have used to call what Aang did.

I think energy is the four elements as a whole.

I'm already a well-established, semi-respected veteran of this site. Starting over fresh as a noob sounds scary.
