if there is any change in the characters it's a good thing. Maybe they're growing up?

It's unfortunate, but I guess to keep on schedule they have to use different animation houses, which differ in style. This is most apparent in "The Fury of Aang"- just see the difference between the animation/style used between "The Library" and "The Desert". If only every episode had "Blind Bandit" quality animation... but alas, I guess they need to farm out the jobs to more animation houses to keep on schedule.

Suki was the only that seemed to appear different to me.
Maybe there was a difference, but animation always changes a bit later on. As long as it doesn't change how American Dragon Jake Long changed, it's still cool.

i thought i was going paranoid. i also noticed it. its not THAT BAD. but i like the original animation better. tho the reallly bad part is that they made katara look a bit ugly.

Look at the posted Sokka pictures and he looks much older in the older picture than he does in the new ones.

I rather wait longer (ugggggghhhhh) for new episodes, maybe even less episodes, then have monkey face people, for me, quality is one of the things that puts Avatar on top and apart from the rest, it was one of the things that made me like the show.

katara has monkey ears in plenty of earlier episodes in book 1. so do lots of them. it's called an ANGLE. you know what? people look like they have monkey ears too at certain angles! hooray! we're all ugly!

Yeah the animation is making the show look more and more like a commun american-monkey-looking show.
The first season was so cool, with that anmation,?? now?? Katara's face is smaller (and she has huge ears) Sokka lookas like a baby, and his arms are so skiny. Also Aang looka like a monkey.
The new animation sucks, they should change it before we ge another danny phantom

God people it's only been used 3 times quite your crying it's not the newest animation they use every episode yes they look?? ugly but only cause you want it to be ugly...yes I know it sounds silly but your complaining to much the creators aren't lazy it's just a different studio. Well I don't care about that really Season one had the same problem different angles so lets just close this topic cause it's not important the next 3 episodes are gonnna be drawn with the original style so you guys can be happy okay.

yea what coloniel said x.x This season, it's only been used for, return to omashu, the chase, the desert, the tales of ba sing se, and lake laogai. Thats only 5 episodes x.x They will not do the alright animation studio for episode 18, 19, and 20... X.x They'll do the amazing animation studio for those...

I agree that some of the characters look different but has any one noticed in some parts of the show the lighting or coloring is very bright or off key? At first I thought it was because of production time but now it seems like every eps is like that I still love the show but?? I guess I am little sad about this . I aslo thought they were trying to make them older at frist but now I have no clue why they look like that.

I saw the differences in a few of the images. Take for instance in the
images from the desert and the one by the boat. Sokka's eyes are
different but also look at his sword/mishedi (sp?). It doesn't have
that big ball on it.

omg i know! katara is the only character to me that looks... uglier!... i dont know how to explain it... i'm like... ewww! and i actually like katara so i hope they fix her... but you know what? i would rather see a new episode with "not so great animation" then have to wait forever, or not get as many episodes out in a season.

You'd kind of think that the creators would be like, "wow, katara looks ugly, we need to fix this.....now!", clearly they know what's good and what's not, I don't know I just hope it gets back on track that's all, got a feeling the Earth King will be good, though, since the animation has been good, not so good, good, not so good, ect.
