maybe it would help if someone could get pictures of a "good example" of animation and a "bad example" of animation, and compare them

Thank you, some one noticed!!!!!!??I agree they look kiddish, cartoonish, and monkey facedish........grrrr, i loved the orignal animators!!!!!! how come pictures won't go in my replies????? someone....help....me....

THE OOOOONLY REASON THAT I THINK IT MIGHT GO DOWN IS BECAUSE THE EPISODES ARE TO FAR SPREAD. I CANT STAND TO WAIT FOR THE EPISODES I WATCH OLD EPISODES ON MY COMP, GETTING SICK OF THOSE EPISODES. THEN WHEN A NEW PONE COMES OUT I WATCH THAT SO MUCH I GET SICK OF THAT ONE TOO. THAT IS THE ONLY ONE REASON I THINK SO.

We're talking about animation quality, not popularity. Animation is the reason that the episodes are do far spread out.

Katara looks different because of the pants.
However, the only major difference I see is Sokka. The others look kinda cool.

Relax...it's a cycle...it's nothing new...Avatar has atleast two different animation teams working on episodes to get out 20 episodes a season...watch "Appa's Lost Days" then watch "Lake Laogai" the animation is far far better in the first one...different people...first stringers and second stringers...

I don't figure the animation is that much different. In all actuality, I believe that the animators are being more realistic!

The characters look the same, but some of you are picking up pictures when the characters go through an "emotional" phase (or when the characters get really anime). There's no real difference.

In some of the picture provided of Jet and Sokka, you'll notice that they are of all different angles and the characters stand in different lighting.

To imagine that the characters faces would look the same under every scenario is folly. Basically, you are all asking that Avatar have the same consistency of facial gestures that are found in shows like Spongebob or Fairly Odd-parents! That would be BAD! The artwork in Avatar needs to be realistic, therefore it needs to change.

*Note* the kyoshi warriors have changed between "The Warriors of Kyoshi" and "Appa's Lost Days", but I think the animators did that so that they all have a certain character or attitude.
