Do you think that the Air Nomads are not extinct but perhaps alive?........I personaly do not believe that the Air Nomads are Extinct.......maybe they all are hiding somewhere or enslaved somewhere in the Fire Nation and no one knows it?

Spoiler and Speculation thread. It's at the top of the page. But as long as your here I'll say Avatar: The LAST Airbender. Notice the complex wording that translate to HE IS THE LAST. None are left but him. I doubt Avatar's title would be the single biggest lie it's told.

But us British don't technically know this as it is called: Avatar: The legend of Aang?? , over here, but i still reckon that, yeah he is the last.

This question is kinda like Homer asking the head of the Kwiki-mart:
Homer: "Are you really the head of the Kwiki-mart?"
    Head of Kwiki-mart: "Yes."
    Homer: "Really?"
    Head of Kwiki-mart: "Yes."
    Homer: "You?"
    Head of Kwiki-mart: "Yes."

    So "Thank you, come again."

In all other lenguges, like in spanish the title is
    Avatar: The legend of Aang

Besides we stiil have not seen the other two air teples (the ones for women)
and it would be very sad if the whole race was extermitated, they are nomads, they can adapt them selves and survive!

    THEY ARE ALIVE!

I don't think that the creators would call the show "Avatar: the Last Airbender" if Aang wasn't the Last Airbender, but that's just me.

I've seen this discussed before. Aang could be the last airebender, but there could be nomads that are still in hiding or adapted to other nations. Just because Aang is the last airBENDER doesn't mean that there aren't more people from his nation. He is just the last BENDER of air.

"The show is the avatar: the last airbender, therefor aang is the last airbender, and there can't be any other airbenders"

Despite the fact that is argument has correct premise/conclusion structure its not infallible.

    1. So what if aang is not he last airbender, so the title is false, so what. Like there have not been shows with false titles or plot holes before.

    2. As many have pointed out this show has different titles in other countries that do not imply that the avatar is the last airbender.

    3. Also pointed out it does not mean there are no air nomads left that lack airbending powers.

Do you remember how Roku said Aang had to defeat the firelord before the comet arrive or even the avatar wouldn't be able to restore balance to the world? Well that also means the great spirit of the air isn't gone, but if Aang doesn't defeat Ozai it will be.

I've heard quotes from the bible said a thousand times, that does not make the bible true. By the way if the air nomads were all benders, and the benders were all monks or nuns, how did they reproduce? Did they have biannual ???mixers???/orgies? Were there nomad benders that were not celibate? Or were airbenders just born from other nations? And most importantly why were they different from other nations and lacked a non-bending populace?

i've never heard that all the benders were monks or nuns, but i have heard that all the air nomads were benders. and i said i got the information from a reliable source. anyway, i'm not entirely sure, but i definitely believe that all the air nomads were benders. i can't say why they're different from the other nations, though....so, yeah....

KilalaRose... you wouldn't happen to be a voice actor for the Avatar show, would you?
