Is Aang already an airbending master? In the first episode he was still
a student I know he was advanced and all but I wouldn't consider him a
master, and there aren't any airbenders around to teach him anything
else he needs to know about it. I wonder if the creators would make
four chapters being the third chapter about air and the last one about
fire. Maybe Aang would find a hidden air temple that the monks used to
have some of the masters and students flee to continue their teaching
in secret during the fire nation invasion. Post your ideas. Does Aang
need a master? Or is he good enough on his own.

He is a master. The arrow signifies it.

the arrow is only an arrow signifying monk status, not mastery

The creators themselves said that the arrow tattoos means that he is a master. Aang is the youngest airbender master.

Just because you don't know how to do EVERY SINGLE MANEUVER ever THOUGHT OF does NOT mean that you're not a master airbender.

The creators said it themselves, people! Aang has mastered Airbending, as that's what his arrow signifies.

hes a master, its just what we've been told, the aarow is the sign of a master, not only is he insanely gifted, its probably easier to learn your native element since hes been learning it almost his whole life. plus once they found out he was the avatar they wanted him to hurry up and learn to get to the other elements

also, Aang said he didn't know how to make a hurricane. He already knows how to make a tornado. He made one in "The King of Omashu"

He is a master, dude. Besides, if he wasn't, he wouldn't be able to learn waterbending yet. There's no one left alive to teach him... or so we are led to believe.

He doesn't have to master them in order. We saw that he could fire bend in The Deserter, but he hadn't even started learning earthbending.

But yeah arrows = master aribender

his training started lets say when he was 6, he was 12 when he was frozen, one can master elements in lets say 20-30 years, aang is prodigy and air is his native element so:

prodigy+great masters that knew he was the avatar+native element= 3-5 years to completely learn it

is aang was a master airbender in the beginning of the show, then it doesn't seem to me that you have to be a very good airbender to become a master. in the 2nd episode, he had trouble deflecting fire and then he fell into the water instead of doing some airbending to save him from falling. maybe he's just stupid under pressure

either that, or he's never fought a firebender before. that's understandable, if you ask me

He was still semi-frozen. He didn't thaw out completely until he left the pole.

We've seen Aang do some pretty badass stuff with just his airbending including going toe-to-toe with masters of other Bending styles in one episode we was teaching a class at the monestary...also he has the tatoos that the creaters said means he is a master

Well it doesn't matter if he's mastered it cuz all the other Airbenders are DEAD!!!! sO RIGHT NOW he's the most powerful Airbender alive just because he's the ONLY airbender alive

Creating a hurricane wouldn't be so much a matter of skill as it would be a matter of power. Aang probably knows how to create small hurricanes but lacks the power to turn it into a devastating, full-scale one.
