The thread creator is a retard First, she posts a topic that is...STUPID! Second, she uses a horrible comparison, her three year old brother, that might not even exist. Third...can't think of anything else actually.

Crying is manly! If you are crying because of a major loss, or a painful/tragic incident -- and the tears are genuine, that shows you are letting the doors open to your soul.

I'm not talking about whiny, comlaining, type of incessant crying --> like a child that doesn't get what it wants. That is a desperate crying.

Aang has gone through some trials and tribulations that warrant tears. Besides, if you are truly a man, you don't give a damn about what others think. There is a great quote about true spontaneous action:

"Spontaneous, true action happens naturally when there is no "you"
checking whether the action conforms to your idea of what is best for
    you."??????????????????????????????????
    -- Ramesh Balsekar

In the taoist sense, any action that just occurs without you thinking how it will "reflect on you" is spontaneous action. The ancient taoists believed spontaneous action was the only type of action that should be done. They believed in non-action with the exception of spontaneous action. There's a fun fact for ya... take that home... chew it... it's delicious.

wow give him a break. He's been through so much, God forbid he show some emotion without someone calling him weak. I mean, can you tell me you wouldn't cry if you lost one of you life long friends? Not to mention he still has to save the world from the Fire Nation. Besides it's not like he's crying over several different things, like some over emotional people who will cry if you look at them weird. He's just really torn up about this Appa thing and stuff. I mean he's 12. 12! I'd say for a 12 year old he's holding up pretty well.

For your information, I havn't cried in 5 years, and during those five years my grandma(whom I was very close to) died, my aunt, and my friend marissa died in a CAR CRASH! I didn't cry once. Call me emotionless. I don't care. Heck I'm even a girl, but I've lost more than Aaang has and I was younger than he was for my first loss. Hello an 11 year old girl who doesn't cry when her grandma dies, but aang cries over appa who isn't even dead. Sorry if I sound real mean. I'm really very nice, but cry is just my pet peeve.

I was just asking a simple question. I didn't say I hated aang for crying. He's my favorite character. I was just wondering why the creators put so much emotion in the second season. That's all. And everyone answered my question so I don't need any replies

Seriously, I didn't mean anything bad. And I'm sorry I over reacted. I'm just not used to seeing so much crying in one season.

(sniff) That.. was beautiful. Truly inspiritional. Besides, Aang's not a man and is holding up pretty well for a 12 year old who carries the fate of the world on his shoulders.

I agree. With all that the little guy's going through, from losing Appa to not being able to express his feelings for Katara correctly, I say let him cry. It's okay. I dare anyone here to say that they could go through losing a lifelong friend like that, loving someone and them not showing they love you back (of course Aang has no clue that Katara just may love him back, there have been small hints), and to be the Avatar on top of it, and not feel the need to cry.

I couldn't. But I have lost a lifelong friend before.(Well, technically he moved, but you get the idea)

Also Appa isn't just Aang's lifelong friend, he's all Aang has left from his life 100 years ago. (aside from his glider.)

This thread is making me sick. Why? Because it reminds me of when I had strep throat. Why do you need to know? You don't. Then why am I posting? Don't know I'll tell you later.

On Topic Post: I don't really care how much Aang cries. My biggest worry is actually having Nick show new episodes.
