A "Welcome Party," not a ball . . .

    On listening to the .mp3 of comic con at avatarspirit.net, I noted that, unless I missed something, they never once referred to the party in the palace as a "ball." It was instead referred to as a "welcome party."

    So why do people call it a "ball?"

    Also, note that they said the word "rekindled" in reference to Mai and Zuko.

    Do you have Windows Media Player? When I clicked it, it opened the file with Windows Media Player. It's an .mp3 file though, so you certainly don't need Windows Media Player specifically . . . just any audio program that can play mp3s. Right click the file and click "Save Link As..." in the menu that pops up. That lets you save it to your hard drive, where you can of course open it with your media player of choice.

    But it's just a welcome party, not a ball. Nobody "expects" you to take a date to a welcome party, so I say nobody will be taking anybody . . . they'll all show up as friends.

    I mean, who really knows one way or the other?

    Well if it's a welcome party than the creators souls are spared shippers always want proof they'll go as low on making a boy cott and protest to honor their pairing.

    The creators showed possible pairing pics at Comic Con, so there should be a technical "ball"(I guess). This is unless the writers are playing some sick joke on ATLA fans

    Well the shipping part was a joke the creators were making fun of the shipping war but it was funny so enjoy the show while you can before you hurt the poor creators minds by shipping.

    Well, they did show the most convincing pairings at the end. ( ie Kataang and Zutara) I'm a little peeved that they didn't show Song and Zuko, but maybe that's who Zuko's date will be? ::gets shot:::

    And I think everyone is calling it a ball because it sounds more festive, and people usually bring a date to one.
