The Community Mixtape is a recurring SBC music project organized by HawkbitAlpha since May 2021. Based on his Mania concept of the same name, the Community Mixtape is a series of of music playlists compiled by the members of SBC, meant to serve as a conduit for SBCers to share with each other their various tastes in songs and artists. For each entry in the series, Hawk selects a specific theme (i.e. genre, mood, or seasonal style) which all of the included songs should fit, and allows each member to submit 30 minutes worth of music to be added. After a given amount of time (typically one to two weeks), submissions are closed, and the entire playlist is published to Spotify for all SBC members and more to listen.

Based on his Mania concept of the same name, the Community Mixtape is a series of of music playlists compiled by the members of SBC, meant to serve as a conduit for SBCers to share with each other their various tastes in songs and artists. For each entry in the series, Hawk selects a specific theme (i.e. genre, mood, or seasonal style) which all of the included songs should fit, and invites members of SBC to submit their own selections of music to be added. After a given amount of time (typically one to two weeks), submissions are closed, and the entire playlist is published to Spotify for all SBC members and more to listen. Initially, submissions to the Community Mixtape were limited to a total of 30 minutes worth of songs per person. This limit has been removed as of the 16th edition, and submission length is now only moderated on an as-needed basis.

The Community Mixtape is one of two music-sharing projects on SBC, and the more frequent of the two. The other is Steel Sponge's Block Party project, which also utilizes themed entries, but is based on the three-song-per-artist "block party" format of radio stations such as San Diego's 91X.
