Sub-Tropical Academy is a spin-off created by Steel Sponge. Having ran for eight years since 2012, the spin-off had been notable for its delays in new episodes. The spin-off's main story would then come to an end on December 31st, 2020.

Synopsis: Six teens from ordinary school win a transfer to a pre-martial arts academy in Rio from a contest, where they are mentored by SpongeBob and friends. The six will be trained to defeat the academy's rival, whom are planning a special attack.
