Overhead map view of Twinleaf Town in September 2024

Twinleaf Town is a town in Outlandia, and the first officially-incorporated settlement of the current SpongeCraft Frontiers. First discovered and incorporated by HawkbitAlpha on May 27th, 2024, its core is a former NPC village on the edge of a taiga biome. It is connected by the Liminal Space Express to Truffleville, and bordered on its western edge by Bikini Bottom.

Twinleaf Town is considered to be the spiritual successor to Littleroot Village, the hub town of SCF's original Frontierlands map. As of June 2024, most of the server's active players have moved into the town, either by building their own homes, or taking over existing houses; it is currently the home base of Hawk, Meko1432, WhoBob, DarknessDG, Meep, Jjs Goodman, dmandaman, Fletcher, and Meridian. It was first populated after being selected as the site of the LGBTQ-themed Pretty Patty Pride building contest in June 2024.

Features

Buildings

  • Twinleaf Commons - An acacia wood-based commons house built by Hawk as his entry for the Pretty Patty Pride building contest, containing a large storage basement and other public-use tools, and used primarily for shared storage of foodstuffs and other materials. It was declared the winning build of the contest for its multiple queer-themed wool and stained glass furnishings.
  • The Batcave - A series of large Batman-inspired underground rooms built by Meko, designed as a successor to the original version from Littleroot Village. It is located underneath Meko's dugout house, and like the original, is connected by tunnels to multiple points around town, including a water "elevator" inside the village well.
  • Twinleaf Library - A large underground library built by Hawk, featuring an enchantment table, as well as a secret back room: the Dreamatorium. It is lit by a network of redstone lamps controlled by a switch, similar to the Church of Danny.
  • The Church of Danny - A chapel built by Hawk outside of the town's western perimeter, dedicated to the "worship" of Danny DeVito. It is the first build in SCF to utilize controllable redstone light fixtures.
  • Infernal Island Prison - Colloquially known to players as the "horny jail", it is a three-story prison built by Hawk in the lake outside of town, and a recreation of the DPRSBC prison he had built in SpongeCraft Classic's Salty Seas in 2019.

Art Pieces

  • The Flagpole - A flagpole built atop the town's central well, featuring flags for both gay pride and the nation of Palestine.
  • Giant Glep - Pixel art of Glep from Smiling Friends, built by dman in the lake outside of the town perimeter.
  • Sea Minus and Damon B. Bankston - Two boats situated in the lake. Sea Minus is a small cruise ship built by DG, while Damon B. Bankston is a utility boat cloned from Deep Sea Spongecraftia.
  • Rainbow Dash - Pixel art of Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, built by Hawk.
  • The Zombieminium - A large statue of a Minecraft zombie with a small home inside of its head. Built by Hawk.
  • Super Mario Clouds - Five pixel art clouds which float above town, based on the clouds seen in Super Mario Bros. Built by Hawk.
  • The Five Hearts - A set of five LGBTQ-themed hearts located on the lake, built by Meep as her entry for the Pretty Patty Pride building contest.

Homes

  • Confundo Condo - Hawk's home, and the tallest building in Outlandia, a large birch wood tower with rooms attached and "hanging" off of its sides. Its original design was loosely inspired by the real-world Plaza Tower in New Orleans, Louisiana.
  • WhoBob's House - A small house originally built by WhoBob in Truffleville, which was relocated to Twinleaf Town using Amulet Editor.
  • Wayne's Hobbit Home - Meko's home, a large dugout on the shore of the town pond, connected by a detailed foot bridge.
  • Meep's House - Repurposed from a former NPC building.
  • Jjs's House - A wool cottage built atop Meko's dugout.
  • Fletcher & Meridian's House - A two-story wood house built by Meridian on the town pond.

Trivia

  • Continuing the theme from Littleroot Village, Twinleaf Town is named after the starting town from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.
