The Shoutbox is a feature on The SpongeBob Community released with Orca 8.4 on November 4, 2013. It is on top of the other category sections on SBC. At the end of 2014, it was upgraded to a new format that SBC Music, SpongeBob Jeopardy!, and SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune also now use. It received another update on January 20, 2016, and now resembles more of a chatbox.
Since its release, it has become extremely popular with the community, almost as much as Xat is. Although, as of the Discord's release, its popularity has slightly died down a bit.
