Caglasstrophe
The Caglasstrophe was an incident which occurred on SpongeCraft Frontiers during the construction of the town of Bikini Bottom. On July 13th, 2024, the town's creator, Meko1432, was in the planning phase of building his version of Sandy's Treedome, and wished to use command blocks to create the glass dome rather than manually calculate its dimensions. HawkbitAlpha responded by promoting Meko to an SCF operator on the spot, thereby allowing him to place and edit command blocks unassisted. However, Meko's dimensions as written into the block were incorrect, and the resulting input created a much larger radius than intended, cleaving off a layer of surrounding blocks and replacing them with glass. This was compounded by Meko activating the block using a redstone lever, which led to it flooding the server with continuous command inputs, and thereby freezing the server for several hours, before Hawk disabled all command blocks server-wide and removed the spawning block.
Amusingly, despite this accident being Meko's first act after becoming an SCF operator, he was kept on the team regardless. The large amount of glass spawned by the block required him and others to repair affected structures, and remove the remaining layer of glass by hand; a small amount of it still remains buried under the grass.
