    For America to catch up.

Besides Total Drama Action is a Canadian made show. It should air episodes ahead of the U.S. I know it does, but waiting for the U.S to catch up on episodes will take too long. It usually never takes this long for episodes to air. At least not after the episodes are completed.

I'm pretty sure they are taking these breaks to let CN keep up with Teletoon. This is because fans of TDA in the US will be guessing who the winner is instead of just watching ahead like what most fans did in TDI. I think this is fair, but yeah I feel the pain for Canada right now. Just wait, guys.

If Canadian episodes are aired long before the American counterparts, then a good deal of Americans would simply watch the episodes ahead of time on Youtube and damage the viewing population of the American show. This means that ads will not pay as much to air in that time slot, and the station gets less money. Therefore, the station does not want to pay full value for the show, and the people producing the show don't get as much cash.

If they coordinate the airing times so that the Americans will catch up, then the viewing population goes up, ads pay more, and the station will invest more money into buying TDA.

If I had to hazard a guess, Teletoon, who produces the show with Fresh Entertainment, looks at getting a bigger audience with new eps with the fall season. From their perspective, they look at the number of people viewing it in Canada only....CN's ratings and such don't factor in this at all. I'm not crazy about the lengthy period between eps for this season as it blunts, I think, a lot of momentum for the show but I can understand...airing a new ep in mid July compared to Sept-Dec draws a big difference for ratings (Yes, I know they started Stoked recently but they've also committed to the series for 52 eps and there's no necessarily sequential plot to that show).

I'd like to see a new ep air this coming Sunday but it wouldn't surprise me if the next one isn't til September....
