I have had this thoughts before, and talked about before on other forms, but what do you think if they let a Japanese company make their own version of Total Drama Island? It has happened before, like the Powerpuff Girls for example.

I don't know, but one thing they do great in anime, is the way the character look, particular the girls. Imagine some of the ladies of Total Drama remade in anime forms. A anime version of Lindsay? A anime version of Justin, if he wasn't hot enough before.

Well, a better question would be who would voice who? Being an otaku I pretty much know all the actors/actresses & its interesting to think about that. & would it be Funimation or Viz? Hmm

Japan has a long tradition of game shows where contestants engage in ridiculous and abusive stunts like on TDI. So it's unlikely a Japanese animation studio or TV network would be interested in a straight Japanese version of TDI/TDA. They'd do a similar show based on familiar things from Japanese game shows instead, assuming of course some Japanese studio hasn't done this already and it just hasn't been licensed on this side of the Pacific yet.

Well there is a anime that I think is called Snuffle, which is a dating show like the Bachlor. It is about this guy that is on an island with lots of girls, and has to choose one. So that is the cloasest they have to reality show spoof.

If they did a TDI/TDA remake, I hope the TDA season, one of the challenges involved those robot machines used in shows like Eureka 7, Code Geass, Mobile Suit Gundam, etc. Imagine the contesdents trying to dodge those things or pilot them.

You may be referring to Shuffle!. If thats the case, theres no island or game. Just this dude whos nice to every1 having to pick who his girl will be from 5. An ok anime but ive seen better. Anyways, I bet Johhny Bosch call pull off Justins voice. & hey Duncans voice has already been in an anime (Death Note) so he doesnt have to change. Wendee Lee could pull off Heather. & Samuel JAckson as Chef.

If you want to start there, let me add, Stephanie Sheh as Lindsay.

Well before we think about the dub casts, what about the Japanese cast? When I was thinking about this idea, I was thinking how it would look and sound in Japanaese. I think Heather's defeat in season 1 would sound great.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry, I'm not trying to embarrass you, but you don't know what anime is? Anime are Japanese cartoons, like Dragonball Z for example. If you watch Cartoon Network, and if you used to watch the block Toonami, they showed a lot of animes. Hope, that explains it.

How many of these shows are still on American TV anymore, a lot of the ones mentioned have been canceled or are on in 5 in the morning?

Face it anime is way, way less popular now, then say even a few years ago, in America. It isn't attracting kids like it used too and only otakus care anymore and they are too small group to matter. Its not an anime was ever shown a prime time network slo, like Simpsons or Family Guy, those shows are way more popular then anime in America.
